I called Johnson Ins.regarding a claim that I submitted 22/10/20, up until Nov 20 I had no contact from the Company. I decided to call. I spoke to Lori, she immediately started to check for the documents. She assured me that she would call be me back same day. True to her word, she called to tell me that she could not locate the mail because they have a lot of unopened mail, but if I emailed her my statement she would make an exception for me. I got my car insurance renewal notice today. I have no accidents, speeding tickets or any other issues. I spoke with customer service and they said I have one of the best risk ratings and he apologized for the premium increase. My premiums increased 15% on my car for no reason of my own doing!!!!!! When the execs at Johnson divide up profits for their bonuses so they can travel to paradise locations, buy fancy cars or purchase waterfront properties, do you think they are working diligently at helping me achieve any of the following ads they promote on their website? "Auto insurance that protects your budget" - yeah, if that means protecting Johnson's budget" "Johnson saves you money" - yeah, if that means spending all your savings at Johnson. "Insurance through Johnson means more" - yeah, if 'more' means 'more' to Johnson's bank account. "Save up to 20%* on auto insurance" - yeah, if that means Johnson saves 20%, not the client. Johnson as an insurance provider is about the same as putting a bandaid over a broken arm. Go with another provider unless you want the threat of tripling rates over a minor accident that was a 50/50 fault. Will be cutting off my service as soon as it is legal to do so. read more

I have never been at fault for an accident so I can't comment on Johnson's approach to that. However, I am from St. John's and was in a 6 car pile up in Calgary. My car was totalled. The RCMP declared the pile up equal fault, yet I was completely stopped because they did not want to do a full investigation (no serious injuries). Upon calling Johnson, and explaining, sending the police reviews, we were declared not at fault, they booked us a rental car, hotel, and even some travel expenses due to the fact we were travelling and now had to fly home. My Fiance's engagement ring was destroyed in the crash and the diamond was missing. I could not find the receipt, yet Johnson covered the ring to what they considered fair, which I thought was fair as well. They even replaced items such as a bike helmet and bike rack that was wrecked during the crash. The replacement value we were given for a vehicle was extremely fair and even accounted for extras such as aftermarket wheels that were new. All of this and we just received our annual renewal with a rate decrease. My experience has been absolutely phenomenal. My previous insurance company, CalLegrows, was cheap but the absolute worst service I have ever received from any company ever.... and I never ever had to make a claim. Like I said, I have never had to deal with a crash if I was at fault, but everythng else from Johnson is top notch. read more
