Many times other tournaments need to use multiple venues to host an event. I've been down to work several tournaments. There are hotels and restaurants nearby. And if the significant other wants to come down, the hopping outlets are pretty close, too, so they can be entertained. We've also always been in the late fall, so it hasn't been conducive to the beach, but it isn't terribly far either.

It has a small zip-line, numerous slides, monkey bars and modern swings and other cool equipment. Plenty of benches, porta-potty and plenty of parking. This park was everything I was hoping for and MORE! We live near the Beloit Sky Carp Stadium which is also within the Marlins organization. That stadium is very new and also very cool but lacks in so many ways that The Wahoo Stadium Excels. The Stadium Seeing the Gulf of Mexico in the outfield while inside of a stadium is such a cool experience. It honestly is one of the best parks at any level that I have been to. They stadium seemed pretty large and it was practically sold out and yet i never felt crowded or overwhelmed. They have vendors everywhere so you aren't having to walk far at all when wanting food or drinks. Lastly, their prices really were very reasonable. Compared to parks in WI and IL, they did not break the bank which really surprised me. The Food They have the obvious normal foods that every park has but then they offered a ton of cool Florida themed seafoods, and other types of things I am not used to seeing where we live. They had tons of options for kids as well. The Entertainment I am a very traditional baseball fan and like to focus on the game alone, but I am not unrealistic when it comes to having young children who need a little more. The Wahoo's did such a good job in between innings to keep the kids engaged which was really fun to see. My Youngest usually wants to leave by the 5th and we were able to enjoy the entire game because she was engaged with things the whole time. This is a must visit attraction in Pensacola in my opinion. A nice break from the beach and other touristy attractions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

They make a wonderful tone that permiates throughout the playarea of the park. I thought Freeport was just a place in the road along US Hwy 331 with a Hardees. But to get to this park, we had to go through the real Freeport. Freeport is still a very small town but wow...the sports complex they have built is legit. It looks like it was built recently. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields, several baseball/softball fields, a walking trail, and a disc golf course. The disc golf course is a nice mix and is challenging with several water hazards looming. The facilities are clean and state of the art. The bathroom I used, didn't have a light switch but turned on when I opened the door. The complex is well-taken care of and it looks as if there is more to be added to it soon. For a park in a small town, in the middle of nowhere, this is an exceptional sports complex.

The bathrooms are always clean, considering the area and circumstances. The showers are big and the water temperature/pressure is great. The trails are maintained and kept in great condition. The awning area keeps you protected from the weather conditions, whatever they may be. They have the long row aluminum seats that will feel like any high school football stadium you go to, so nothing good or bad there. The huge fans keep things a little cooler. I'd guess coming here for an actual rodeo/equestrian show would be fun. The race uses the food court area and has always provided us with ice, cold beverages, and got foods so I'm sure it's the same for their traditional events.
