I don't know what type of business it was before, but it dictated the arrangement of the salon. Now, each stylist has their separate room, which can be good or bad depending on what you like. I personally like to see the other clients and stylists at work. However, I got my hair styled for a special event (mostly due to my friend having an appointment there). IT LOOKED GORGEOUS. She paid attention to what I wanted done, and it turned out fantastic. It was nice loose curls pinned back. Even though everybody else was getting tighter ones, she did what I wanted. I've also gotten my hair cut here, nothing special because I didn't give any specifics, but it looked much more healthy afterwards! In addition to hair, I've gotten my nails done here. Better than the two awkward Vietnamese places. Also, they offer spray tans (and maybe tanning beds). You know you're in the Midwest when there's tanning salons! It was for a vacation in Mexico. I didn't turn out orange, just glowy as I had hoped! Bottom line, good place with good people, just do something about your interior (and get rid of the disgusting awning if possible).

I have been going to her for 4 yrs now I have been to other hair dressers if I couldn't get in cause I am known to wait till the last minute (like 12 hrs before I want to come in) to make an appointment and have tried others and every time I regret it since my hair just doesn't style the same when someone else cuts it, now i just schedule my next apt every time I go in that way its already on my calendar. She listens to me explain what I want done and always delivers she is also great at suggesting the right products that work for my hair without being pushy. It is so nice to get a haircut and totally trust the person doing it and not have to worry about if they understood what you said. I remember the first time i got my hair cut by her it was on a whim and I had won a gift certificate somewhere for a free cut or something like that and I tried it out and I have been going to her ever since.

During one of my visits, I became intrigued by the gel nail polish. The fact that it was quick drying, not damaging to natural nails and wasn't a fake nail that would have to be pried off if I tired of them intrigued me. But, I was skeptical. I've been known to wear off the most expensive nail polish within days if not hours. Other customers attested to the fact that the gel polish lasted over two weeks. I am now sporting my 3rd gel manicure and despite using my nails to scrape off jelly on the counter, open a wine bottle wrapper and a million other things, my polish looks as good as the day I first got it over two weeks ago. The salon owner, Linda, is as pleasant as them come. She is a good conversationalist while focusing on her services. She takes her craft seriously and learns the proper technique and doesn't shortcut on materials. The salon carries a full line of beauty products for hair and skin, small gift items and health supplements.
