The fuel is some of the cheapest, there are NO parking or tie down fees (for single engine planes) and they have plenty of spots and ropes available for use. Everyone I met at the airport was incredibly friendly and community minded. It is attended 7 days a week and is truly a wonderful facility and gift to the region. It seems like there's a maintenance facility onsite and a building accessible 24/7 (via a code). Night landings are a breeze with a great lighting system. For food, I would suggest Adam's roadside barbecue about a 10 minute drive away from the airport. I'd come back here in a heartbeat!

I paid $9 for cheese and grapes. A breakfast wrap only meat, cheese and egg $15. Nope- couldn't do that one. It's cold as Alaska in here. Feels like the outside at 23 degrees. Added stress... My flight has been delayed twice this morning with no future in bound Delta flights. This is not due to weather. Lord Jesus, please allow me to get to my 2 connecting flights in time. Next time, I will fly out of either Raleigh Durham or Charlotte. Know This #disappointed

Better know your takeoff landing distances to make it here. The lights never seem to function (homemade lighting system). The runway feels like you're driving down someone's driveway the takeoffs here are never boring. They only sell MOGAS.

I flew one wood and fabric bird and one low wing single place. I rarely used much of the 3000-foot runway, never touched the runway edge, and I was flying taildraggers, one of which was squirrely on the ground. There is a slope to the runway but not enough to demand your attention. I miss the place, hard to get hangar space there since most folks know what a treasure the place is. The only drawback to me is all the development that has grown up around the area, 540 beltline beneath. I wouldn't want to lose an engine after takeoff, but that's true of most places these days.

Vivian Howard is from Kinston and has 2 restaurants and down town is beginning to thrive with unique shops, craft breweries, and friendly people. Awesome food and service by genuinely nice local people. Can't wait to visit again.

If you haven't flown into Harnett Regional lately, you'll barely recognize it. I hadn't been for a…read morelong while now, so this is my first visit after the newly built terminal from 2023. The runway is legit, and transient parking is plentiful. Inside, the new terminal building is modern, bright, and welcoming. A complete night-and-day change from the old setup. After grabbing some fuel, I went inside to very nice restrooms and loaded up on a water from the vending machine. Refueling is straightforward. The airport operations guy was friendly and marshaled me in with a nice lineup to the pump for self-service. He also set up the fuel and ladder. It's worth adding to your radar for fuel and the nice facilities alone. 5/5, will come back.

The transient parking is a bit on the tighter side. There's usually enough room to make things manageable. Getting to the fuel farm is easy and hassle-free, with self-serve pumps that are accessible and reliable. Jet-A and 100LL. The fueling ladder is nice and lightweight, easy to move around. As of SEP 2026, there's active taxiway construction under way... Overall, it's a convenient spot for a quick stop or practice runs.
