We had the plan set and then CO got his with a huge unusual snow storm. Tim contacted me immediately to coordinate an alternate date. This was a bit problematic as my son needed to be out of his place by a specific date. Tim worked with my son and his Landlord to develop a plan where my son could relocate the stuff from the home to the landlords location. Tim then coordinated with the landlord to pick up the stuff at the landlords place while my son was out of state visiting friends. All this at a very reasonable cost. Tim was instrumental in helping with the coordination between me, my son and the landlord. Tim provided what I call the 'Effortless Customer Experience'. They stated they would wrap everthing...didnt happen and they also slide our new leather couch across the floor unwrapped so it had a lot dirt on it. We aldo asked for certain boxes in certain areas of the home (every box was written on) and it didnt happen. Just disapointed ti say the least!

I had a move with them 2 weeks ago. There were so many issues with my move - I don't even know where to begin. Of the two guys that showed up, only 1 of them put in good work. The other guy spent more time trying to talk to me and not do anything than he did helping his partner. Every time I went outside to throw something away/put something in my car, he was just standing in the truck hanging out. He complained about getting hurt multiple times. He overall made me very uncomfortable and asked if he could come back off the clock to help me. His advances were very discomforting. It took them over 4.5 hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment 0.30 miles away. I was charged $1.064.00 for this - AND at the end ended up helping finish the job, moving 2x as much stuff from the truck into my place than 1 of the guys. Again, I was charged $1,064.00 for this and had to HELP when the move is not even 1/2 a mile in distance AND there was an elevator. They also showed up with a RIDICULOUSLY large truck 4x the size that I needed for my move. When the guy went to collect payment, he didn't show me an invoice or anything, but he told me the total $973. I figured this was the total before my deposit was removed + my discount was applied. I had a $25 referral discount. They ended up charging my card $991.00 - not even close to what I was told with the $973 + minimum the $25.00 discount. I was also charged $20.00 for a mattress bag I did not use, as I provided one myself. It was not used on anything else, everything was wrapped with shrink or moving blankets. I am appalled by this - as my last move to my old apartment was 16 miles away and I had a ton of heavy furniture that I got rid of before this move. The men who moved me the 16 miles were double these guy's age and HALF their size, yet they got it done under 4 hours. If the other guy had actually put in work, my move easily would've taken 2.5-3.5 hours. I am so upset and good luck getting ahold of anyone at the location who will actually help you! Hopefully corporate responds to my email so I don't have to escalate this further. STAY CLEAR FROM THEM!!

However, the junk removal was much more costly than other companies I've used in the past. The worst part of the experience was that the junk guys tracked mud on the carpets through the entire path from the front door to an upstairs bedroom. They "compensated" me by discounting the price by $45 which was something, but didn't make up for the two hours of carpet cleaning I had to do after they left. Personally, this will be the last time I use Jolly Junk.

I wrote them a check and went back inside. Within a minute, I heard a crash and went outside to find that our power lines can been ripped down from the connecting point to the house. We were not outside to witness this, but I ran to the alley to see the Jolly Junk truck driving away as the wires now lay down across our yard and hanging low in the alley. I called Jolly Junk to express the issue but it was quickly defensive that we didn't actually witness it. Fair enough, except that there was nobody else in the alley. The incident itself was frustrating as we need to ensure with an electrician that nothing is wrong, but the lack of accountability is worse. I imagine their service - albeit expensive - is fine. But if anything goes wrong, I hope you won't have to work with Lindsay or her team. We'll certainly be using other services from now on.
