Here's what BS has wrong: management and customer service. And these are big when the price tags are equivalent to high end department stores where you can also find the same amenities. BS also has an extreme ALL SALES FINAL return policy. Much like other reviewers, I had a dress special ordered for my son's wedding. I had three fitting appointments. At each store visit, my salesperson, Rocky, styled me with sportswear for the wedding weekend and beyond. By my last appointment, I had spent almost triple the price of my MOG gown, but I was pleased to have supported a female-owned small business, and I told the owner, Sara, exactly that. . When I left the store my MOG gown fit perfectly. Rocky and Sara packed it for me, and I was assured they had sold lots of dresses by this manufacturer, and the dress would travel well. That was not the case. Getting dressed for the wedding I discovered the length of the gown had "grown" approximately three inches. I walked my son down the aisle with the skirt portion hiked up under my armpits. As the day progressed, so did the length. Instead of the flowy, sequin top I dreamed of, rolls of fabric are apparent in every picture, as I hiked the skirt higher. I made a follow-up appointment at BS. No one argued that the dress had "grown." Sara immediately told me she wasn't giving me a refund. I asked her to contact the manufacturer on my behalf. She refused, arguing that the material was not defective and insinuating I had worn different shoes or undergarments. Rocky was sympathetic. The seamstress made no comment on the material but pinned the skirt to be re-hemmed. Of course this wasn't BS's fault. Nor can they give me a redo on my son's wedding. But a little compassion and customer appreciation would've gone a long way. Yesterday, I picked the dress up for the last time. Sara saw me but said nothing. I left, then decided to come back in and talk to her, which I did quietly, in the back of the store, away from other employees and customers. I wanted to give her the chance to do the right thing - something, anything to keep me as a customer. I said I wouldn't be returning. Her response was a blasé "okay." When I asked her if she knew why, her comments were shockingly accusatory, and she asked me to leave the store and not return. The entire exchange happened in less than a minute. Management's unwillingness to take any responsibility and heartless lack of empathy prompted me to write my first YELP review. Buyer beware.

However, some of the beads fell off when I tried it on at home 2 days before the event. When I returned to the store, I was told all sales were final. The seamstress was very kind and offered to fix it, but I didn't trust the dress would hold up. What really shocked me was how I was treated. A staff member (or owner?) accused me of lying about and when I bought it, insisting it must be old and that I'd already worn it. Thinking of replacing the dress, I tried on a few other dresses, and was told there was "no way" I could be the smaller size I mentioned, even though the larger dresses were all way too big on me. Overall, the service was unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. I left feeling disappointed and disrespected--definitely not the experience you'd expect when buying something special. There were some nice/kind staff people but not enough to make up for the rudeness and being accused of lying. updated based on BS's comments: the dress was in fact not fixed to perfection and I ended up sewing a column of beads on the dress after it was fixed. I'm quite conflicted how to write this review because in the end the Bride was happy and that's all…read morethat really matters right? In my opinion, not so much, when every single member of the wedding party, including the Groom, and the father of the Groom had goof ups consisting of missing pieces and wrong sizing. Not to mention, when the suits arrived they called the Groom to let everyone know they could pick them up, not like the Groom doesn't have ten thousand other things to do the week of the wedding. Everyone was measured by the staff. Almost every shirt was mis-sized either way too big or too small, the Grooms shirt was outright missing. They did musical shirts and vests right up till Thursday when the wedding was Friday. If it weren't for a phenomenal wedding party being patient and running back and forth to the shop the groomsmen would not have been suited up. In the end the staff was friendly and apologetic and everything worked out but the stress it caused on the couple the week of the wedding was unnecessary. Fortunately our Bride was no Bridezilla and she politely smiled though the whole fiasco, but as for us we would not recommend The Men's and Boys Store for an important event simply for the reason that just because it worked out this time it may not in the future. I'm giving 3 stars because the Bride did not want me to go any lower than that and as a supporting MIL I will do as she requests.

And they are WELL DESERVED! I am not into wedding gowns... at all. And I put off the dress buying as long as I possibly could. My other bridal shoppe experiences don't hold a candle to how comfortable and welcomed I felt on both of my visits to Yes to the Dress. So wonderful, in fact, that I swore I was going to buy a dress through them because I believe they DESERVE the business. It's posh, modern, clean. The staff is knowledgeable, articulate and caring. They could have made me feel amazing in almost any dress. Unbelievably, I ended up closing the deal on a 100% custom designed, one-of-a-kind gown after attending the Leanne Marshall trunk show & the savings were significant. It was a win for the shoppe, a win for Leanne, and a major win for me. The excitement level was through the shop roof!! I lost count of the hugs being thrown around. My mom is going back for her gown, my friend's mom is going to visit for hers. For better or worse, I too read a lot of boutique reviews when I was on my search. At some point you just have to put down the Yelp and get out there. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment at this shoppe. What do you have to lose?

I had already checked out another place and didn't feel like I found "the one", so when my…read moresister-in-law suggested "Yes to the Dress", I figured why not. Madison was very nice and worked with me to find the perfect dress. She defiantly had a nice personal touch, even saying that she would come with me to make sure that the dress was altered perfectly. She said that the dress would come in the first week of June (a little over a month before the wedding). It would be little close, but not bad, keeping in mind that the dress would also need to be tailored. We also ordered to flower girl dresses from them because, they complemented my dress so well. A few months go by and the flower girls dresses were supposed to be delivered. Both myself and my sister-in-law (mother of my flower girls) called as well as stopped by to see when the dresses would be in. Every time, the date we were told, would always be moved back. This didn't make me feel good about my dress, because we were cutting it close to begin with. In the end the dresses came in about three weeks late. Of course, the first week of June came and went. Calls were made and estimates of shipping dates were given, but it kept being moved back, again. It wasn't until seventeen days before the wedding, when I called, that I was told that my dress had been in for days. Madison's assistant told me that my sister-in-law must have missed the message she left. That is impossible, she was more excited about the dress than I was, but I did double check with her (no phone call or message was ever left). I made an appointment, fifteen days left, to see how the dress fit. The personal touch from Madison, that I got when I first tried on my dress, was gone. Madison popped in long enough to see how the dress looked. I made an appointment, with her assistant, to go to the tailor. I would meet her at the store ten minutes ahead of time. She would not only drive me there, but she would also carry the dress for me. I came back, ten days before the wedding, expecting Madison's assistant to be ready to take me to the appointment. I saw her in the other room busy with a bride (I already knew what was coming). Madison told me that her assistant couldn't take me and that she was in the middle of doing inventor. She wrote down the directions, wished me good luck, and told me to send her pictures of the dress. I was shocked, but headed to LT Alterations. My sister-in-law was already there getting the flower girl dresses altered (later she said I looked confused and sad when I walked in). We got the dresses figured out, apparently Madison didn't tell her how close the wedding was, but she said she could get it done. Two day before the wedding, I got my dress. The alter was great, but the bustle seemed I little confusing....ok...really confusing. Thirteen white ties made of sheer fabric that she couldn't find during her bustle tying lesson. On the day of the wedding I had three, very patient and loving friends, up my dress for a half hour trying to figure out the bustle. They couldn't find all the little ties or maybe some of them fell off (the tailor said they were delicate). It took the event coordinator, with a handful of pins, to finally get me bustled. I loved my dress, but the games they played with me I could never recommend this business to an blushing bride-to-be.
