AMAZING!!! I'm from the States and came to check out the beaches in the UK. Was bored and sugar deprived so I stopped in and this place changed my life! Will definitely be back! ... tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, and the next day, and the next day, and so forth...

Finally, a dessert place that's open late! Coming from the States, I've struggled finding a dessert shop to go to after dinner here in Brighton. It's disappointing knowing you can't get a coffee and cake somewhere unless you're at a restaurant but who wants to pay their prices! Thankfully Jojo's offers this solution - gelato, cakes, crepes, sundaes, waffles, shakes... need I say more? Prices are reasonable and the portions are ginormous. They have table service as well if you want to dine in but there's also a take-away option. I had the Cookies Sundae and my husband ordered the Chocolate Nut Sundae and were pleased with them both. Service is good but can be sporadic due to the crowds but that's expected. Will come back to try something else on their menu!

48 flavors of delicious and inventive gelato, plus cakes, waffles, crepes, shakes, and more. A friend in the London area suggested that I go to Jojo's on my upcoming trip to Brighton, and I was not disappointed! There are your standard creamy gelato and fruity sorbet flavors, as well as inventive flavors like Red Bull, Coca-Cola, paprika melon, and Cadbury Creme Egg (for Easter). It's an amazing assortment of flavors, and I want to try every single one. If you get a frozen treat in Brighton, this is the place to do it. Yum!

Aside from cocktails and cupcakes, I am also a massive lover of Ice Cream. Jojo's Gelato has been open for around a year now. I walked past one day as the inside was being constructed, and the owners were handing out samples of their Gelato. Not just teeny spoonful samples of Gelato, but actual massive scoop-sized portions of Gelato! Needless to say I was very impressed and was looking forward to going there when it opened. Fast forward a few months, I finally get around to going in there to buy some cupcakes and ice cream. You are allowed to sample any of the many flavours of Gelato that they sell. I have had to knock off one star from my review, simply because every time I have been in there, the member of staff that serves me never seems to quite know what she is doing. I'm not sure whether it's a training issue, but getting served always ends up being a lot more awkward than it needs to be. Also - they sell Lola's Cupcakes! But there has been more than one occasion where I have been in to get one, after seeing them on display, to be told they are out of cupcakes and the ones on display are 'display only' - They should perhaps make that a little clearer! Aside from those two little blips, the Gelato AND the cupcakes really are fantastic, and I shall be going there again in the future.

This gelato shop is open late. Until midnight I stumbled in at around 10:30 and found it to be quite full. I got one of two clean tables after ordering. I looked at the menu and it was overwhelming. So many choices. I got the Sweet Treat and my goodness that thing should have a disclaimer that it's approximately a foot tall. Vanilla gelato swirls like whipped cream topped with two cookies and a cookie straw. Beneath the vanilla gelato is chocolate gelato, a banana, peanut butter, whipped cream, Oreos crumbles, and who knows what else is deeper than I could possibly ever venture. I was proud of myself for eating roughly a third. Not proud because it was bad, because it was quite quite good. But proud because I made that much of a dent due to the sheer size

Staff friendly and and service quick. It is not table service for ordering, not essential and not a problem just is always a nice touch in Gelaterias. Very big place with a lot of seating, suitable for both groups and individuals. Conveniently near the Churchill sq shopping centre car park and very central location! Looking forward to returning to try something different all though the pot of hot sauce was so good!

They've got a great range of flavours, almost too many as it's too hard to decide, so I ended up going for the standard 'traditional'. I wasn't disappointed - the filling was tasty and the pastry perfect, the right mix of flake and stodge. They do have other stuff here too - sandwiches, paninis - but I can't imagine I'll ever get past the pasties to try them.

I'd say my grandma probably makes the best pasties in Devon, but I suppose I'm biased... I often find that shop-bought pasties are a bit of a let down, too-thick pastry filled with lots of potato and not enough of anything else. This was not my experience of Our Cornish Pasty Shop. I went for a classic steak pasty and it quite literally knocked my socks off! The meat was tender, the pastry was just the right consistency...watch out granny, you've got new competition!! The range of pasties is just right...not so many that you're left confused, but enough that you aren't left with a simple meat or veggie decision. I'm a bit scared of some of the more unusual ones, like Chicken Tikka...I am of the opinion that a pasty should stick to the original rules! The shop itself is nice, the staff friendly and they have a few tables outside. This is the best place to go if you want a little piece of the West Country in Brighton!

Being next to Bill's is a big gamble, but I would certainly be tempted to come here over their more illustrious neighbour. At least in Brighton, where there seems to be endless money to be spent in trendy little food establishments. The latest: Farm. As the name suggests, Farm is going for a rustic country bumpkin image. They use local and organic produce, and locally made bread and they have a seasonal menu, meaning their dishes change according to which vegetables are in season. The décor reflects this ethos- it feels homey and earthy, if a little contrived- but in fairness it would be hard to create a totally authentic farm café in the middle of Brighton! I think they've done quite well- the sandwiches are really fresh and delicious and the bread is really nice. They have soups and other winter warmers too. Every time I've walked past, it has been packed. Perhaps this will be the café to give nearby Bill's a run for their money? Farm may not be quite as high on the cool barometer, but their food is up there!
