The menu jumps all over the place, from burgers to burritos, to Chinese noodles and Cajun catfish. Yes, we have all that in America, but certainly not under one roof! That being said, the food isn't anything spectacular, as is with any restaurant that serves a grab bag of meals. What shocked me the most - the price! CHF22.00 for a cheeseburger!? CHF24.00 for Chinese noodles or a burrito?!?! I realize things cost more in Switzerland than The States, but this is ridiculous! This food costs four times as much. In The States, we pay: - Cheeseburger (gourmet): $9.00 - Chinese Noodles: $7.50 - Burrito: $5.00 Interesting concept, Stars and Stripes, but I think I'll save my money and eat the real thing while I'm at home. The tortilla chips were covered in beans, some salsa and a heaping helping of cheese, and they had been sitting there a while. So long that all the chips had kinda turned into a big tortilla blob. It was all very greasy from the cheese. So, it's not your typical Mexican restaurant, but it's cool that they're actually educating people on what quesadilas and fajitas are! I'd give them 3 stars, because I'm not actually expecting authentic Mexican food in Switzerland and I didn't try anything else, but the wait was ridiculously long. We were in Zurich for three nights on vacation and we wound up eating at Fork & Bottle two of those…read morenights - it was that good! We happened upon it just by looking up restaurants close to our hotel and it wound up being our favorite place we ate in our whole 10 days in Switzerland! The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. When you walk up, there are tables and chairs throughout the walkway and then an entire open area of tables off of the outside bar for a fun hangout. The building appears to be an old house turned restaurant and is so beautiful on the outside and so warm and inviting on the inside. The menu had accommodations for everyone - which is so nice as I am a lactose intolerant pescatarian! I got the beetroot and black bean burger both nights I was there and it was to die for!! I ate the entire thing both nights and just wanted more (it was a big burger though)!! I also had a watermelon spritz which was so refreshing! You can tell the owners/workers get to know their regulars as I saw them stopping by tables and chatting - which was just so fun to see! If you're in Zurich, I highly recommend popping by! My only regret was that I never saved room for the brownie dessert!
