Jon did an outstanding job as the photographer for my engagement shoot and engagement party. He was very easy to work with ahead of time in the scheduling and communication of all the event details. He had creative ideas during the engagement shoot and captured some really beautiful photos. Throughout the party, he was somehow "everywhere" in the most wonderful way - reviewing the photos after the fact brings back such wonderful memories, and also reveals parts of the party that I had missed altogether! From the very beginning Jon was the right fit for us. After viewing his portfolio we were confident that our photos of our wedding would be exactly what we wanted. We did not have a very traditional wedding so we did not want traditional posed photos. We wanted more candid photos for memories of our wedding celebration. Jon was a lifesaver in photographing our sons first communion. We needed photos taken prior to mass to capture the day and did not have a lot of time. Jon arrived in advance to set up for our needs, knowing we had time constraints and certain goals for our photos. Wrangling our three young children is never easy, and Jon did so very well. His specialty is event photos, which are very evident in his body of work. However, he also did a tremendous job executing portrait style photography for us. His willingness to shoot whatever we needed and wanted was wonderful and we look forward to working with him again soon. We hired Jon to take pictures at our small, in home, wedding ceremony. Jon had very little space to work in yet we barely noticed him. The pictures are amazing!!!!! I couldn't be happier!! Aside from the easy communication and booking process, Jon promised at 72 hour turn around (others quoted a lot more money and an 8 week turnaround) and we were surprised with our pictures delivered to us the next day! The biggest compliment I can pay Jon is that the teenagers (ages 14-19) at my daughter's 17th birthday party loved the pictures. That age group is always going to be the most difficult to please and they were extremely happy. From my point of view, Jon arrived early so he was ready to go by the agreed start time, his price is very reasonable, he was unobtrusive while taking the pictures but got photos of everything and he was very pleasant and easy to deal with. When looking for a wedding photographer I called many in the area, several did not get back to me, many required a consult, a lot weren't available and most were very expensive. I just wanted someone that could take pictures of my very simple but very important (to me) event. Just as I was about to give up on photographers I found Jon. He called me back right away and made the booking process very easy, with a quick check to see if he had the date available and thankfully he was! He sent a confirmation email and then confirmed again a week before the wedding. He showed up 30 minutes before the ceremony started to get a feel for the outdoor venue. He introduced himself and was very warm and welcoming. He started taking pictures right away. He took so many pictures of my family, my husband's family, couples and everyone in attendance; doing a great job of understanding who was who and how they were connected to the bride and groom. An added bonus is that 2 days after the event he had all of the photos emailed to me via dropbox. I hired Jon to take photos at my Wedding Rehearsal dinner this past July and I am so happy I did!! He truly captures the essence of the evening and not a moment was missed.
