He suggested we drive to Loveland Pass, CO at sunrise, and even though it was fuh-reezing (it was February), it was SO much fun, and he made us feel super comfortable. He was really good at directing us (which we were both concerned about, because neither of us knew what to do in front of the camera), and it was just a fun, awesome experience, and gave us 100% confidence in Matthew for our wedding. For our wedding itself, which was in July, Matthew once again completely knocked it out of the park. He was simultaneously everywhere AND not at all distracting. The photos he took really told the story of that day, which is exactly what I wanted. He never missed a beat, and captured some of the sweetest and funniest moments throughout the wedding and reception. He snuck my husband and I out around 9 pm for some night shots, which turned out really unique. I expected to REALLY like maybe 10 or 20 photos total, but I honestly LOVE like 50-100. Having decided that Kauai was going to be our choice of island for our destination wedding, I…read morestarted searching for an officiant, hair and makeup stylist and a reputable photographer. Michael came highly recommended by several people I had contacted and he never let us down. From the moment we booked to the day of the wedding, he was there for us no matter what question or concern we had. we booked Michael for a good 7 hours that day. He captured every moment of our special day from my beautiful bride getting ready with the hair and makeup stylist, myself waiting patiently in the bar, to the ride to the private waterfall and then onto the beach and finally back to the St Regis at sunset. He came highly…read morerecommended from a friend in the Photojournalism industry and we were wowed by the photos on his website and chose to have him take the pictures, primarily because of his obvious professionalism over the phone and background in photojournalism. Kent managed all our special requests: catching candid pictures of the most important moments, avoiding group posed shots, and even curtailing my uncle who fancies himself a professional photographer. Mostly, he took beautiful pictures that we will treasure forever. What I really like about our wedding pictures is that they don't all look the same! Some are bright and airy, others are more sophisticated, some look like they belong in a newspaper. He captured each moment perfectly, instead of just taking the pictures. He also encouraged us to take our couples shots against the graffiti art in the alleyway (the wedding was at an art gallery), which all turned out beautifully! The business side of things was very easy: he was quick with getting the contract to us, he was punctual and even showed up at the rehearsal. We got our edited photos via an internet slideshow 3 days after the wedding! He also mailed us a disc with the High Res and Low Res images. We are so happy with Kent's photography and look forward to using him again for Family Portraits.
