This place is so small. How they manage to fit all the usuals you'd find at a newsagent in there…read moreboggles me - it's more of a kiosk than a shop. Sweeties, newspapers and mags, Oystercard top up and even a Moneygram transfer service - all served up politely.

Also,one time my friend went to get food and there was No one at the counter and the two men(Who were next to the diary products) were just talking as if there wasn't someone waiting to pay.So instead she just left the money on the counter and left - I'm not sure if the man said tho her to leave it there or if she just put it on the table and left-either way it was pretty rude .not trying to put a bad reputation on the company as I still go there to buy food and so do loads of other people but I'm just stating the fact that there are always room for improvement

The difference is the salesman is really nice. It was raining (surprise, surprise) and I was struggling carrying a ton of books and trying to open my umbrella. He came out of his position and gave me a hand, he got wet and thanks to him I didn't , not so much anyway. Ever since then he always says hi when he says me, nothing malicious about it just a gentle man.

For a little tucked away shop amid all the galleries, eateries and fine goods establishments this…read moreis an absolute gem. It's here for all the tobacco and confectionery that you would want. Need a pint of milk for the office? Sorted. The chap in here is always so jolly and polite and is has a smile on his face permanently. Always saying good morning and asking after your day and wishing you the best. The size of the shop is like a postage stamp, but that's fine, you're not in here to get a fancy shopping bag or culture! So, totally love this "real" little newsagents in the alley where everywhere around you is high end pomp.

Handy to know if there's one of the usual long queues at the ticket machines Reading material for the journey? Yup - magazines and papers Nourishment for the trip? The amazing dude that used to run this joint is no longer there…read more I deduct one star because despite the facelift, Morden News has lost its sparkle. He used to put a cheeky smile on my face before the journey and no amount of fanciness, ice cream or sweeties can make up for that. Especially considering the misery guts who has taken his place. I'm a bit gutted.
