Walking in and filling out paperwork was very easy, only took me about 3 minutes. Dr. Runkel brings you into his office and asks questions first, feels for your tender spots in the spine confirms that they are bothersome or not. He uses equipment to measure your spine, wants you to relax on a roll table (The best table on this earth if you have not tried one) Then lastly he brings you back into his office and adjusts you by hand. Before my appointment I had covid/pneumonia 1.5 months ago and during my sickness I was very weak barely got up for 3 weeks, lost weight (mostly muscle mass) With that being said, my left foot was numb/tingly for 4-5 weeks after I recovered. I thought it was just my body coming back to normal. I also felt that since my left foot/lower leg was numb I was favoring my right side & my right lower lumbar/sacrum area started having a sharp stabbing pain if i moved too fast or in a specific direction. I finally came to my senses and realized this problem wasn't going away on its own. Like I said earlier I called on a Wednesday and got an appointment that next morning. I highly recommend this office, Dr. Runkel is really good at his work I'm actually coming back for a walk in next Tuesday, and most likely will until my husband and I leave. The dynamic between Dr. and Mrs. Runkel is heartwarming, they almost make you feel at home when visiting their office. With all of the packing and cleaning activities occurring prior to the drive, I knew I'd need an adjustment once we made the trek to Alabama from Connecticut. I had originally scheduled an appointment for the day after we arrived. However, I was eager to get in sooner to relieve my aches and pains and they accommodated me. I was on the table 2 hours after we rolled into town. I saw Dr. Garrett Hall. He went over my history going back to the 90's when the back & neck problems began. He took X-rays and then sent me into the therapy room where Hatton took over. She applied heat and then hooked my upper & lower back up to a tens unit. Once that was done, I was sent to a small waiting area in the therapy room. After waiting maybe 5 minutes, I was taken to the treatment room. Dr. Hall used a table that flexes down and stretched my back comfortably. During this process, Dr. Hall was hands' on feeling around on my back and finding the things that needed adjusting. He found them quickly. Before my adjustment, Dr. Hall talked to me about the types of adjusting he wanted do and asked if I was comfortable with that or if I preferred another way. I have neck issues and asked to have my neck adjusted with an activator. He was happy to oblige my request. I had some inflammation after the adjustment of course. I had things out of place for several days before I could get adjusted. My recovery time for feeling normal was much quicker than usual. Once everything settled down, in less than 24 hours after my appointment, I was 100% pain free for the first time in decades! And this was from my very first visit with Dr. Hall. If you are looking for a really good chiropractor to help with chronic back or neck pain, Dr. Garrett Hall is your man. He is personable and extremely knowledgeable. He also does adjustments and provides care for pregnant women. The staff here is very friendly, helpful and caring. They get to know their patients. One of the staff members was holding a patients' baby while she got adjusted during my last visit. Alicia gave me a good overview of the pricing structure here for self-pay patients like myself. The price won't go above $50 and is based off of how many regions of your body are adjusted during your visit. 1-2 regions $29 3-4 regions $38.50 5 regions $46.67 If you are ready to be free of back and/or neck pain, Dr. Garrett Hall is the man for the job! Your care is not limited to the back and neck. I sometimes need adjustments for my feet and knees. He takes care of those too. They have a very large parking lot and a spacious waiting room. The wait times are short. Dr. Hall has never made me feel rushed when I'm talking about anything that may have caused me to need an adjustment or throughout the time he is adjusting me.
