I have been a customer of this company for over a year for irrigation system services, but I am extremely disappointed with my most recent experience. I contacted Wayne to request an estimate to cut back approximately 10 feet of my crape myrtle. During our conversation, he provided a verbal price and explained that the next step would be to send a written estimate. He stated that once I reviewed and signed the estimate, we would then discuss scheduling the work. The estimate was sent on 12/16, the same day we spoke; however, I did not review or sign it. I missed a call from Wayne on Thursday. When I returned home Friday evening after being away for work, I was surprised to find that the tree had already been cut. I later listened to the voicemail, which stated that he was sending his crew out to trim the tree. At no point did I provide approval or authorization for the work to be completed. I was unable to speak with Jonny Nichols until Monday, 12/22, at which time I explained my concern that work had been performed on my property without my consent. After some back-and-forth with Wayne, he said he would speak with Jonny regarding the situation. The following morning, Wayne called to inform me that because there was no signed estimate on file, the invoice would be removed. However, I was also told that I would be dropped as a client for irrigation services. Wayne and his crew completed a difficult drainage problem in our yard. On the hottest of days they hacked away at large underground roots in order to get to the correct level to install pipes for out project. Communication before and during the project was honest and we are pleased with the results. read more

I have been with Jonny Nichols for several years now and I could not be more satisfied. They are on time and provide answers to lawn problems. My lawn has never looked better. They developed a plan for my yard and the pricing is very good. My previous lawn care company was much higher and my lawn looked like a bed of weeds.I said goodbye and never looked back. They never got back to me. Bad customer service. They werent even interested in my yard ideas. They are more commerical i guess.

Your representative came out to my home was here less than five minutes turned on the water and informed me that my backflow valve was no good and that he could not perform any service until it was replaced. I asked him how much the valve would cost, he told me he had to turn it into the office and get back to me on the cost. Last Thursday I opened the Valve and realize right away that the diaphragm and the spring was cocked to one side. I removed the retainer bar reseated the diaphragm and the spring, replace the retainer bar, close the valve and it worked like a charm. I manually turned on the sprinklers and ran all the zones everything checked out just fine. Jonny Nichols insist that I still owe them a service fee. First the valve could have been repaired not replace (parts / replace about $180, repair about $45). second the technician could have done what i did, seeing as how he was supposed to be on the clock. third a policy of replacing over repairing is just another way of charging people more money. They hire absolutely obnoxious flyer people. I am so tired of having D-bags freak out my dogs (and me if I think it's a deterred burglar until I see that stupid flyer on my door) by walking through my yard and on my plants to leave a flyer on my door that I end up throwing away. KNOCK IT OFF! Find less obnoxious ways to advertise. Or if you're going to flyer neighborhoods, instruct your employees to be courteous enough to use sidewalks instead of walking through people's yards and on their lawn. I will never use this service because the people I have encountered are AWFUL. read more
