We had had three drivers come through the Jordan Driving School sessions. While I cannot remember the name of our oldest's instructor, our youngest son and oldest daughter both had Ms Mary as their instructor at different times at Leesville Road High School. Both really liked her too! From a parent's point of view she was timely, strict (which is needed), taught great driving skills, followed the rules to a T and did it all while making it fun for the students. I highly recommend her and Jordan Driving School. The communication was good, feedback helpful and overall an excellent experience. Not sure how the prior reviews were so terrible as I am quite detailed and no details on all three of our children's training went overlooked. My son completed 1 week of the driving course online. The following week was scheduled and we received a email from Football coach on a Sunday stating my son had mandatory football practice starting that Monday prior to the next class. I only wanted to change class from 8am class until 12:30 session for that week. I didn't want to cancel or lose my $65. The person named I will not disclose but he was a male. Was very matter of fact and refused to allow my son to attend the afternoon session. Things happen and to not have any room to make sudden changes is ridiculous. He stated he could do it but he just didn't want to.... This is bad customer service and they just took my money. read more

This has to be one of the most dysfunctional companies I have seen in a long time. On day one the instructors had no clue how to use zoom. They did nothing but read from the pamphlet and play videos through out the course. They were very rude and unprofessional to the kids in the class. At one point you could tell the instructor was setting in their car during the class. Then on top of that since they have decided to stay virtual they no longer set up a time fro the required eye exam, they just give you link to a signup genius. Then you have to hop and prey there is a slot available, because you can't even get on the list to do the driving portion until it is completed. Finally they tell you there is a 6 month to 1 year wait for the driving portion, that is of course you can even get an eye exam. Why the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system still works with them is unknown to me. read more

ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS This might be one of the worst driving schools ever made. You have to wait ages for behind the wheel. Not to mention their absolutely terrible driver's ed program where they took away all my time, 3 hours a day, and did nothing but bring my grades down. Now the ridiculous part is behind the wheel. Not to mention names but my instructor was terrible, he thought he worked for the FBI when he got paid 10 bucks an hour. He yells at me on the top of his lungs right in my ear every day. Think about this, it's your second day ever of driving, you're going 70 miles an hour down a freeway, and your instructor is yelling at your ear when you turn on the turn signal 3 seconds too early. How is that not a hazard?! Not to mention they do everything but teach. How'd y'all even get licensed to teach?! I can find a random guy from the streets and he would teach better. No wonder y'all got fired from our school. In conclusion, YOUR WASTING MONEY. read more

I wish I could rate the school, my one star rating is actually for the registration process and the inability for them to handle the volume of kids needing training. That is why I am giving the one star. They share this star with Wake County Public Schools for contracting with them. There should be more than Jordan Driving School as an option for kids in public school. We are not wealthy and cannot afford private training. This used to be part of the school curriculum and needs to return. This is why we have untrained drivers on the road. If you have to wait until you turn 17 or 18 to get license you are losing valuable years of driving training (in the real world). I have read many of these reviews and would encourage someone at WCPSS to do so also. Parents, students and the community suffer due to the poor decision to contract with only Jordan. Again, I wish I could rate the actual instructor, curriculum, and the long wait that I hear about to drive - we can't even register after our 3rd time trying. This last time, I kept the screenshots of all the screens that would load, but we still couldn't get into a January, February, March, April or May class and the next registration window is in September (if it's the same as last year). Their used to be an older woman instructor who used to be crabby and expect that my teenage youth should have driven with their parents at age 15 and have already learned the basic ropes of driving so that she doesn't have to waste time teaching them from scratch. read more

My son and goddaughter attended on line class the beginning of the school year. Both constantly complained how rude the teacher was. One day I had both of them attending the class in my home and overheard the teacher referring to another student " Just cause your parents are rich doesn't mean you can interrupt " WOW!! I was shocked I stopped and asked the kids what's going on. They replied that's the way she is. Sure I do agree if a student is rude yes correctly correct him in a professional level. Why say that?? Not all the kids that go to a private Catholic school are rich and that's not what I expected from this driving school that works with so many schools in our area. Very disappointed!! I have expressed this to the school already. I wasn't the only parent that heard her. Luckily the kids could not continue the class Football season started and dance began. Highly disappointed. Very rude and hateful drivers ed teacher. Made my child cry during her first training day. Another child that neither me or my child knows came to me directly to say they were mistreated and degraded for having no driving knowledge. My child was placed in heavy traffic without ANY driving experience. The other student was also upset stating "he was mean and kept sighing thru the whole course". I don't understand why Wake County would use this driver's ed program. Children need patience when it comes to BTW. Thanks to this instructors rudeness to my child as well as myself, my child's weekend is ruined and will have to see this clown at her next drive. However, I will be contacting someone Monday. My daughter had a great experience. So glad we went through her school. Her instructor was patient and very knowledgeable. My daughter felt comfortable and says she learned a lot. They also are very flexible with scheduling drives which is nice. Your child will be prepared. read more

This school is a money maker for them and a disservice to NC. All 3 of my kids were 17 before they got their licenses because this school is disorganized, poorly staffed, and uncaring. William Powell, who answered one of our phone calls, was rude, condescending, and behaved like our concerns were of little value. This is because he knows that Jordan driving is the only route to a license in this state, unless you want to pay more on top of what taxes have already paid for. Staff like Mr. Powell make the process far more stressful and difficult than it should be. Save your time and pay for a private driving school! read more

condescending, rude, and lazy staff, i've been on a waitlist for four months with no explanation or estimation on when i'll get behind the wheel hours. no better than nole academy, who took my 500 dollars ( i earned myself through my job) and gave me 10 hours of instructional time with no behind the wheel and removed me from the program with no refund. came here afterwards hoping to get behind the wheel but it's the same disorganized mess. you're paying half a grand for you and your child to be verbally antagonized and play a long waiting game. i tried going to my high school and was told i could start in the fall of 23. i graduate in the spring. this entire system is a mess and a scam for innocent kids and nice parents. read more

My son goes to Apex Friendship High School and used Jordan Driving School. His teacher, Dena Shaw, was very patient and helped him learn skills needed to start driving and get his permit. read more

I do not ever write reviews online, but other parents need to know what's going on! My daughter and the other girl she was driving with were brought back to the school 45 minutes late with no communication. The instructor then patronized me because I told him we were worried. He's lucky I didn't call the police when the girls were missing for so long. I'll be taking this issue up with Jordan Driving School, the high school, and the Board of Ed. read more

Worst customer service! left message after message never received a call bk . when I was able to get ahold of someone (Jessica) who claims to run the place, told me she calls people bk on a daily never once hv I received a call bk. she stated that she could not discuss the private driving school over the phone and said once again to leave a message and a email she would return my call. after 1 months of trying to get my daughter enrolled I called once more she stated that she thought it would be best to find a new place to take drivers ed.that they could not accommodate us all because she would not return my calls nor my emails. Rude place of business my advice find another school I would not give this place my business if it were the only one! My son enrolled through Hillbrook High School for Drivers' Ed into Jordan Driving School and unfortunately due to violent circumstances out of his control could not return to the school or Driving classes that I had already paid for. When I called Jordan Driving School to inform them of our unfortunate circumstances and ask if I could transfer his class to his new school or at least get a refund they simply told me he has "failed the class due to not finishing and we will get no credit of classroom time or our monies". Like I told them " I hope they get good use out of that SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS". Should be ashamed of yourself. read more

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. This place should be shut down. Not sure how they are still in business. Zero customer service. The school does NOT communicate with the driving instructors. It took weeks and several phone calls to get a response from the school and even longer to get a response from driving instructor. Paperwork was "lost" several times. My daughter has gymnastics on Monday so we wanted her to drive on Tuesday-Friday. The instructor, Connie Jacobs, told us that was not an option and she had to drive on Monday or wait until next month for a class! After this she was extremely rude to my 16 year-old daughter and my wife. If you are considering this place, stop now and go somewhere else. read more

Poor communication between teachers, the driving school, and the customers. If you have other options for your teen to learn how to drive, find them. They've bitten off more than they can chew via Wake Public Schools. Returning your phone calls and emails take weeks and info will change according to whom you speak with--all extremely frustrating. Jordan is quick to sign your teen up for the in-class portion of driving lessons but getting your teen behind the wheel is an entirely different matter. My daughter waited 9 months after she'd passed the class portion before we just gave up. When they finally got their you-know-what together, they wanted my teen behind-the-wheel with 5 other non-experienced drivers in the car. This defeats the purpose of driving lessons. Do I want my teen to be driven around by inexperienced drivers? Absolutely not. Do I want her to drive other people's kids around before she knows what she's doing? Nope. We will be going elsewhere in the future. read more

Terrible...absolutely terrible. My daughter's school uses this driving school for this driver ed program. The instructor (an older lady) would never take them out on the road to drive. They stayed in parking lots for 3 days and never exceeded 25 mph. From what other parents have said this instructor does this with every student...how does this teach them anything? When I complained I could not even get a response from anyone. Do yourself a favor, save your money and go elsewhere. read more
