    Hummus and falafel plate
    Jen S.

Heard this place was authentic and had to go try it out. I was pleasantly surprised by this place, really enjoyed my experience here. The owner is a very nice and friendly Pakistani guy, who works behind his own counter, you have to respect that! He is from Palestine and makes fresh homemade hummus, falafel, shawrma meat and pizza. Everything looked delicious. For once it also was delicious! I watched him make the falafel right in front of me! All the ingredients he has here are fresh, everything is made fresh and everything I ate was delicious. Hands down best hummus and falafel in Prague. I have been to way too many "authentic" places, but this one was the real deal. Sadly there are only 4 stools to sit on inside, which is fine for a couple or some friends, but for a larger group there is always the option to take it to go or eat on the run. Either way this place was awesome. Friendly family owned place that I will for sure be going back to and bringing all my friends. Loved it. Awesome place.

Falafel wrap, before I ate it!

Hummus is my desert island food. If I were stranded with only one food option, it would likely be hummus. I am sad without it, and thus I journeyed to Jordan Fast Food for a much-needed refueling while in Prague. This place is a quick in-out situation. No real place to sit inside, and no outdoor seating in the colder months. Went here at lunch when there was a huge crush of business folk. The sandwich wraps are the best, and falafel and hummus are on point, made fresh (non of that canned hummus crap that I've seen elsewhere here!). Eat one of these wraps and you will be full for approximately 12 hours. They are huge to begin with, and they have extensive staying power. My one pro tip is not to come in here with a 1000 CZK note and try to pay for a 115 CZK lunch. The counter man apparently had "no change" and flipped his sh*t when I, without any other money, had no alternative. I ended up going to the coffee shop next door and buying a piece for cake to break the bill, which they kindly agreed to do without getting hostile. I would go back to Jordan Fast Food because I loved the food, but their lack of change, and their brusque manner, were not appreciated!

Very poor service, food was bad and they had a bad attitude. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

It's since been upgraded and is quite nice. What a lovely McDonald's, with free wifi and bathrooms for 10 CZK (about US$0.40). It has a separate McCafé counter and the entire establishment boosts some nice modern design elements in keeping with current international trends. The interior is quite possibly the nicest McDo I've seen anywhere. There's even a counter with electrical outlets. The food is about standard for McDonald's, perhaps on the tastier side, but I might be biased because of the proud capitalist historical tradition of this particular one. As an American, I'm ambivalent about American global fast food chains but at least they seem to acquit themselves quite nicely. Bathrooms: Really nice. Modern aesthetic design with dark woods and those space-age oval thingies for urinals and touch-less faucets. Even eco-friendly, with one of those stick-hands-in blow dryer things.

I learned later that there are a few Burrito Loco locations but this one is in the middle of a good bar district, which means late-night eats are a must. The shop itself is very tiny... only maybe half a dozen people can stand there comfortably. So the line often goes out the door. It's not fancy or complicated. There are a handful of pretty basic options to choose from and a couple of drink options. They get bonus points for serving bottled Jaritos. Service was patient while we ordered and food was delivered pretty quickly. My husband got a burrito, which he did not finish (never a good sign). I got a bacon quesadilla, which seemed like a fairly safe option. It was OK. The bacon was really fatty. But it was hot, filled with cheese and made me not starving. So check. I DO think that if I had been out partying at a bar and needed something to scarf down at like 2 in the morning, Burrito Loco would be PERFECT. And I do think that is probably their busiest time of the day. So in that respect, this pace was totally perfect, don't change a thing. If you want an actually good burrito, though, maybe not...
