I followed his advice of alternating ice and heat and woke up with a better range of motion this morning. The also give out new patient "goody bags" with an ice pack and a sample of biofreeze. I used the biofreeze today at work since I don't have access to a heat or ice and I'm feeling so much better. I learned my lesson though, no more dancing when my bosses are gone.

She does acupuncture on me 1st and puts the electric stimulators on the needles. She has a refreshing intuitive touch. She has many different techniques she offers. She's very thorough and spends a decent amount of time on you. She has a way of going right to your trigger points and does some kind of range of motion pressure point tecnique. Since about 3 months of pregnancy I've had progressive severe pain in my SI joints that got to the point where I haven't been able to straighten my legs when lying down for months. I had resigned myself to this just being part of pregnancy. Due to a a move, I got a new midwife a few weeks ago who suggested I see Dr. Nicole. She spent time listening to exactly what my symptoms were and asking questions about the triggers. She then adjusted me while explaining everything the whole time. She's very experienced with pregnant women which made me feel super comfortable. After the adjustment she had me lay on my back and straighten my legs. I was so shocked to be able to do that without pain. I left the appointment feeling so much relief that I burst into tears when I got into the car. Since then, every movement I make seems effortless (despite the huge belly) and I'm actually looking forward to labor!

I will only go to a chiropractor that uses the activator method. I am the type of lesson who has a…read morehard time relaxing so that the Dr can crack my back. When the Dr uses an activator there is none of the hands on twisting or manual popping. He feels the spot so he knows what to do and then he puts his little hand held clicker and it delivers a few well placed bumps to get my bones where they need to be. He is the only one I have found in South Dakota and I drive two hours to see him. He does not take insurance but his clinic is virtually no wait and he is very nice to talk to. He will treat everything you tell him hurts. He even adjusts my jaw and wrists. He charges $85 for initial visit but if you are recommended by someone it is only $45 so tell them I told you how great it is and get the discount! From there on it is $45 per visit. His office hours are a little odd but if I lived closer I imagine they would be convenient. He has 3 slots per appointment time and he has three tables in the open where you are worked on fully clothed. When I came to him it had been awhile since I had been to a chiropractor since I dislike manual manipulation so he had me come every time I was in town until he had me back to normal.
