I have been getting my hair cut there for the past 2 months and couldn't be more satisfied. Tad the business owner cuts my hair in a neat and tidy fashion and always greets me with a smile! Since we are new to inner west our first visit was to Broadway mall and will never go back to the hairdresser there again (overpriced and rushed). We loved Pixie in Leichhardt. It is also called James Hair (!) . It is very inexpensive for the service and time you are receiving! We girls love our haircuts! James and Alex of James Hair were professional and kind, with great care and effort. They had kids books, and portable DVD players with kids movies and candy on our way out. I have tried everything from reds to blonde hair and many different cuts - layers, bobs, lobs, highlights, ombre, balayage,chemical straightening. He is very thoughtful and honest about his work. He will explain before coloring how the hair may turn out. I have recently tried ombre/balayage with caramel highlights w dark base and honey blonde balayge with natural black roots. The color stays up to one year! I would highly recommend Serdar. He is a fantastic hairdresser. Hair color (specially balayge) takes about 3-4 hours. Make sure to book an appointment before attending, as he is always busy. The salon is always buzzing and full of customers. Affordable price, great service! Highly recommended!

I sat down and explained to the owner from the beginning that I wanted an ombre and showed pictures of what I wanted, she didn't know what an ombre was and had completely damaged half my head when she just bleached the bottom half with no highlight or blending technique it just look ridiculous, then she told me this is what I wanted. I had to go to another salon to FIX yes FIX the damaged caused and they recommended the bleached part to be cut off as the bleach that she used was too strong and it damaged my long hair. cheapness comes at a price - I CRIED :(

They have standard hours, open 9am to 5pm most days, until 9pm Thursday's and until 4pm Saturday's, not open Sunday. They do any style you would like, I've seen people come in and have all their hair cut off, others gone from dark to light, some with intricate designs. I have waist length hair and every time I come I let the girls style my hair however they like which they all enjoy. You can see them wracking their brains to try to come up with something new and exciting. I've been here when plenty of kids come through and they usually are able to keep them entertained while getting their hair done, either by changing the channel on the tv or having one of thee other girls distract them. As a regular myself I've noticed they have a ton of other regulars. I would highly recommend everything come to this salon.
