Well I have been going to Dr nojosa's for about a year but then this past week I went and it was taking a little bit longer past an hour so I wouldn't ask the nurse how long it was going to take she told me they were going to take from 6 to 8 hours I said really I go why so long she goes that's unusual time it takes so either you there you go and I'm like you know what I'm going to leave she said don't worry about it he's leaving he's already leaving and I'm like what and I'm like yeah I'm going to leave she goes yeah I just came up here to get the next patient goodbye so that was pretty rude of her I know she's gay and she's whatever but she didn't have the right to be talking to me like that so I started again read more

My sweet baby went to Mr. Igoa's clinic a while back and it was HORRIBLE I tell y'all. My husband was damn near close to slappin' the BEJESUS outta that damn doctor. I will admit, he was a good lookin' fellar ( not the doctor, my hubby) and he was in SHAMBLES. That Jose was prescribing 15 medications each with a VAST dosage, one of which is what the youth refer to as, " percs! " and to my sweet shmuckems. Those meds turned my beautiful, toasted tater-tot into a VEGETABLE! At our most recent appointment, I could've swore I saw this man turn into a reptilian and claimed he wanted abduct our family into the underground civilizations with his likeminded peers of fellow reptilians. After one initial visit for my son (2.5 hours past the appointment time) and 1telehealth appointment (45 min past the appointment time) we never got service again. Our next appointment (an hour from our home) we left after 4.5 hours past the appointment time. Have you ever sat in a cold, noisy waiting room for 4.5 hours with an autistic child? The next day the telehealth appointment also didn't happen. 2 hours after the appointment time for a 10 minute video call is unacceptable. Plus half the time when we called they would pick up and hang up or never answer. The management of this office is incompetent. Don't waste your time. read more

The wait is short in the morning on Monday and Tuesdays great staff whenever they are not overwhelmed with cranky people and work and slow computers. Always are helpful none the less. I'm happy with my new doc. She's extremely helpful and has help me with understanding my medication and when to take them and how. Other than that my depression and anxiety are always death with in a kind manner. read more

I had an appointment with a PA at 11am one morning last week and didn't receive a call until 8pm later that day. I was told it would be a FaceTime call, but it was a phone call with a completely different provider. After hearing some commotion, because I was at work by this point in the day, she curtly asked if I wanted to reschedule. After agreeing all I heard was, "you'll get a call tomorrow to reschedule", and then she hung up on me. I still have yet to receive a call and when I try to call myself I'm met with an answering service. No call back, no new appointment, no money back for a meeting that never occurred. read more

Don't waste your time coming here. The staff is very rude and disrespectful, and Sonia, who is one of the supervisors, tried to refuse my appointment to see the doctor. She does not behave like a professional and should be fired immediately. read more

I have been going to Dr. Jose Igoa's office for many years. I only see Dr. Jose Igoa once a year, if I ever see him. I always see Rosie Gonzalez, the PA. Miss Rosie Gonzalez is the best PA, that I have ever seen at this medical facility. Our first meeting, I knew instantly, that she really cared about her job and her profession of choice. She makes you feel comfortable and she not only listens to you, but she also looks you in the eye. What I mean by this is that, some doctors only keep their eyes down in their laptop and never look at you while you speak. Rosie Gonzalez understands my many mental concerns. If there was 10 stars, she would get all 10 stars. The only reason I am giving a one star, is because the staff is horrible. The staff is the front line. They are the first ones you interact with upon entering the health care facility. The staff treats you terrible. As a metal health facility, they should OBVIOUSLY know what type of patients they are dealing with in this horrible, dirty building. I would also like to add that the wait time is terrible. I have waiting a total of FIVE HOURS, with an appointment, numerous times. Overbooking patients is unacceptable and I believe againt medical law. I see a total of six doctors for my many health issues. ALL my doctors have done Telehealth for me because of Covid19. Dr. Jose Igoa is the only office not doing Telehealth or Telemedicine during a pandemic! I find this insane. Especially as a mental care facility, they should be doing telemedicine. People are very concerned about contracting Covid19 and mental care patients are even more anxious of contracting Covid19. I have spoke with Sonia, "the supervisor" over the phone. She is a very rude employee. She has no empathy or sympathy for patients with mental issues. She needs customer service training or needs to be replaced. The short time I spoke with her, my anxiety went through the roof. The opposite should have happened, as she works at a mental health facility! I never want to interact with this woman again. As long as Miss Rosie Gonzalez is employed at this facility, I will continue to seek her assistance. However, the day she leaves employment at this mental health facility, I will also leave this mental health facility. read more

As noted in another review the wait time can be long to excessive. It also difficult to contact the office by telephone. So why do I give it 5 stars. Because the skill of Dr. Igoa and his clinical associates is very high level. That is the most important factor in evaluating any doctor. It is even more important when considering selection of a psychiatrist. In addition the office is updating its processes and showing real improvements. read more

The physicians/PAs are all great BUT the clinic is very poorly managed. They appear to way overbook...have never had a wait time less than 3 hours at this clinic and that's with a scheduled appointment. There is NO EXCUSE for wait times like this. SAD read more

We had a an 11:30am appointment. Arrived at 11 am. The front desk lady informed us right away we'd have a 3-4 HOUR WAIT! I had a ONE hour drive to come, and staff was completely unapologetic. Obviously, We walked out. read more

Wait time here is a little long, but all the staff is so kind. It doesn't seem like it takes long at all. A lot of people talk about how you shuffled from one room to the next, and I think it just shows they're organized. Once they call you back for the doctor it's immediate. read more

Average wait time for McAllen office is 3 hours, regardless of appointment time. Harlingen office is 2 hours. You only see the provider for 5 minutes and the front staff isn't very welcoming or informative. read more
