I was just visiting another establishment in the plaza and parked my car next to his shiney new ride. Later, as my girlfriend and I were returning back to our car to leave, he came out of the barbershop and greeted me so warmly as bro, but as he got closer, I could see anger in his eyes as he proceeds to accuse me of scratching his car. "Bro, look, there's the scratch." (He points to a barely-there scratch, across from my rear door, no where near where I was getting in or out.) "I just bought this car yesterday, you parked too close, and scratched it." I try explain it's not physically possible since I had no rear passengers, and had nothing in the rear seat to have any reason to open my rear door. He keeps reminding me that he "just bought the car yesterday" so I am the only possible culprit for the scratch. At this point, there's no point in arguing, and I just get back into my car and watch him walk back into Rise N Grind. I assumed he was waiting to get his hair cut, but to my surprise, he starts to cut a client's hair! He had stopped working on a client mid-cut to run out and accuse me of scratching his car lol He didn't introduce himself, but from what I've gathered from social media, he looks to be the barber that goes by Chino. I'm sure the owner will correct me if I'm wrong, because whoever this person is, I'm confident he's told all his co-workers multiple times about how he "just bought this car yesterday." I hope he doesn't honestly believe I scratched his car, because that is just delusional. I just have some final words of advice for anyone choosing Chino as your barber, don't park too close to his dark grey Honda Civic, otherwise, he'll have one eye on his car, and only one eye on his clippers!

I don't have to overthink anything--if I want something different, I can say it, but most of the time I just trust Orlando and let him do his thing because he's consistently on point. Frank, the owner, is always cutting nearby, and I enjoy the conversations whenever we cross paths. All the barbers here do great work, but I personally lean toward my guy Orlando. I'm in weekly now, and it's become part of my routine because I know I'm walking out looking sharp every time.

Today, I was about 10 minutes late for my appointment to get my son's hair cut. When I arrived, I was told the barber wouldn't cut my son's hair because they already had someone else coming in -- even though that person hadn't even arrived yet. I completely understand if being late means an appointment needs to be rescheduled, but the way this was handled felt rude and unprofessional, especially after being a regular customer for over six months. He was real cool and super friendly. He really took the time to cut my hair and makes sure it's to your liking. They are pretty old school since they also finish up with a single blade trim around the hair. Everyone there is great and you really feel like home. Since they are really good at what they do, you may have to wait so get there early. Regular men's haircut is about $12 a little more for beard. They have a small parking lot in the back but street parking is also good. I've been going for about 10 years now and it's still the best place I've been to for a good haircut.
