I needed help analyzing a possible real estate transaction and Amir was quick to respond and offered very sound advice while sharing potential pros and cons to my situation. Amir was incredibly professional and I would highly recommend him for any legal matters involving real estate. I will also work with the Afsar Law Group for any situations that arise in the future requiring legal advice. Thank you Amir!

If the job of your attorney is to put financial restitution back into the hands of their clients then for me Amir is 0/3. One case dropped and two cases won in my favor yet no restitution was made. If you want an attorney to file paperwork or simply need an LLC setup then Amir is great but if you are looking for financial restitution then I would seek representation elsewhere. EDIT: Not sure what Amir is talking about he never recommended any other service for collections. This statement is also confusing since he handled collections for my first case, for which the guy eventually defaulted only for Amir to then say I need to go to collections. I asked specifically when receiving the final invoice if that was all he had for me and nothing else? I asked his receptionist if he had any more information about the case that I need to proceed and she said no he does not handle collections. Amir followed up with a call to confirm the case was over with no recommendation on law firms in the area to handle the collection. Following that 3 min phone call and a 20 word email response can you guess what I got from Amir.....? Yep, ANOTHER INVOICE. To anyone reading this you seriously do not hate lawyers enough. Sad times for the American legal system when La Cosa Nostra could have better kept these contracts enforced more than Amir. The entire process is a scam. I budgeted food and living expenses to pursue financial restitution only to be nickel and dimed by a useless attorney who provided zero restitution all while driving a $200,000 car. I have had the pleasure of working with Amir on 3 separate cases. He is very knowledgeable and offers great legal advise on the macro level. He is great at what I call door knob legal advise... advise given during casual conversation or an initial meet. Unfortunately on all 3 occasions the businesses who defrauded me never had to pay a cent in restitution. Perhaps this is caused by the fact that the consumer protection laws as well as legal recourses in this nation do not benefit individuals and simply favor businesses. Here is a brief history of my legal disputes Amir has handled for me. First was a roofer who defaulted on a contract and provided a roof that needed a complete replacement. Amir tried and won the case resulting in a judgement of about ~42k in my favor. Amir advised I let the roofer pay it in installments and after paying twice the roofer stopped paying and Amir said I had to go to a different attorney for collections. I believe at the end his legal fees had approached about $18,000. Roofer got paid his $40,000, Amir got his $18,000, and I got about $2,000 back before he defaulted and ghosted. Second was the appliance and plumbing supplier Pirch, after purchasing and paying in full for appliances Pirch closed their doors and kept my payment and my appliances and plumbing fixtures. This was about $40,000. Upon them declaring bankruptcy Amirs advice was to drop it since it is now in bankruptcy court and apparently that changes the process and severely diminishes your chance of restitution. He had racked up a few thousand in legal fees by the time we dropped the case. This guy even had the nerve to bill me because he wrote a letter about Pirch declaring bankruptcy, which was in every headline and furthermore could have been an email that at most takes 30 seconds to write and maybe 2 min to open app and send. Instead it was a 30 min billable for a few hundred dollars lol. To his credit when I brought up to him how ridiculous that is, he removed the charge. Absolutely the most hilariously lawyer thing ever. Rather than write a 1 min email this guy drafted a legal letter, created a PDF, applied his signature, then input his time into my billables LMAO. Third time was with a dock builder who took an $18,000 deposit on a dock then completely ghosted me and has missed his delivery time by about 2 years. Amir tried and won this case, by default judgement so its not like he did anything other than file paperwork, with about $10,000 in legal fees. Upon receiving a judgment in my favor I was told by Amir that I now need to find a collections attorney since he does not handle that process. Now I am faced with the decision to retain another lawyer (probably about $3k-$8K) to pursue this judgment or just accept the loss and not accrue any more lawyer fees. There was a long stretch of time during this case when my messages were not getting to him because I guess his messaging agency was forwarding his messages to someone else. His office was very apologetic about this and I have not had a problem since. Two cases tried and won in my favor by Amir and neither have resulted in any financial restitution.

By the time anything was done, the tenant had already moved out ( mind you that was 2 1/2 months or maybe even 3 months, after I hired this ambulance chaser ) leaving me with thousands of dollars in losses, due to the loser squatting in my house for 5 months rent free. Yet, mr Garcia Then claimed he would pursue a judgment--gathering my information, photos, etc. yet another promise that went nowhere. When the case finally appeared on the calendar, the confusion and panic coming from his office made it painfully clear that nothing had been handled properly. Shortly after, I received paperwork showing the case was no longer being handled by his office. Not surprise at all. Nor did I actually care, because at that point, I found an amazing attorney who actually cares (yet best for Mr Garcia to use his own time & money and file the paperwork then me - and that's just what he had to do). This wasn't a simple oversight from Mr Garcia . It's a pattern of his negligence. Based on my experience, and on the similar stories shared by others ( who private messaged me ) , I cannot recommend his services to anyone. He's very lazy at his job. Don't say I didn't warn ya!

It was discovered by another owner over a week ago that the manager, John Murphy, and his boss, did not have business licenses, permits current in both the State of California and Palm Springs. This was discovered when there was a question of their dealings in several areas. Today, I received a cease and desist order from Jeffery, saying that I contacted local parties in the city that handle permits, that I said I was on the condo board. This is a lie making Jeff a liar too since in the one call I made to the clerk's staff (who know me) and when transferred to the staffer in charge of permits (also knows me) advising none were current. This was later checked by the other owner who started this credibility issue. In that in the past I found this firm at fault, and again lying (ops) which often lawyers (most?) are hired to do. I would, in my opinion, never hire him or this firm for any work whatsoever since what he does reflects of their quality of work. If you have any questions, do contact me for further referral to the other owner, and documents to prove of their fraud, not what they claim I have done (760) 325-5398 Charles). OH, and no one on the board or his called me to ask, "Hay, what's up Charlie?" What did Forest Gump say? Oh, did you forget? It won Hank's an Oscar for his role. Jeffrey maybe needs another career, not as a lawyer, or an actor either. And my petition, which I had to stop,in the first phase saved the large trees on the west side of the complex, visually making it most pleasing. If cut, would have been a disaster. The other trees were cut, leaving less shade, more bugs from hotter grounds often coming into units, as well as maybe more water for the lawns. I have asked several times for a bill comparison and denied. And the board since took out a 1.4 million loan to fix roofs which most did not need and now have 30 years to pay if off. The association is, for the age of the complex, broke from this and past board operations. Thanks for all the legal help.

There has…read morebeen a battle about the conversion of the lush landscape to desert, often to the objections of owners who have little or no input and seem to be ignored. Several recalls have been started to stop this. The first, which saved some pine trees from being cut down had those that signed it rescind when the board agreed to not cut the trees, saying "They did not know this was an issue with the owners." The landscape in a specific area was also wanted to be left alone. Then a $170,000 desert landscape plan was put into motion changing the main beltway area and sides of the complex to the desert look. An outstanding study by on site owner (3 of 5 board do not live on site) Don Rice proved that it 1) desert landscape did not save water 2) greatly reduced the land into packed clay and 3) would raise the temperature and causing electric rates to go up. I board ignored this study and continued to push the plan. Three recalls were then started and after submitted, the board president, Brian Johnson, with direction from the manager and attorney, talked to a few of the owners to get them to take their names off the list, which stopped the recalls. The $170,000 cost landscape proceeded. This is against the David-Stirling Act to call on and pressure owners to change their votes. One who signed the first petition would not sign later ones since he lived next to the president's unit and was intimated by him and others. Later there was a mailing to all owners with a copy of the signed petition with the names of those who supported it and other recalls. A letter stated to not sign recalls unless you understand them and gave a tone not to do this at all. It was confirmed by the manager Mr. Murphy, that the appeal to owners and this mailing was approved by Mr. French, making him a key person in breaking the David-Stirling Act issues and possible CC&R regulations of the association. This landscape change, still in progress, will greatly alter the look and living conditions. The mailing was objected to by several owners attending the September 8 meeting. After this meeting Mr. Rice requested to see association documents. A meeting was held but no documents were shown, again breaking both State and Association Rules. It would be assumed Mr. Green would have also been asked to review this request. Therefore, I and I am sure others, would not recommend Mr. Green or this firm for our association legal counsel or others.
