I came into this office in Aug of 2020 at the recommendation of a friend…read more It was a straightforward divorce which just needed the papers filed for me. For this service I paid $850, which I had to scrape together to afford. Again, just papers to be filed. All the information necessary for all the paperwork needed was given that first day. The initial paperwork was filed. It was months later before the other party was even contacted. The other party signed papers and returned them to this office...then nothing. When called/emailed, I was told I needed to give them more information, the exact information I had given on that first day. Every call and email after that I was asked to give the same information I'd given on that first day. No other steps have been taken since 2020. Zero. I have emailed, I have called, I have visited the office in person...nothing but promises. My last physical visit was on May 27, 2020, right before the Memorial day holiday. I came into the office and I sat right across from Michael who told me that he would drop the next step's paperwork to the drop box at the Indio courthouse the following Monday (which turned out to be Memorial day,) so even though the drop box is available anytime, I gave him the benefit of time and figured he would drop it off on that Tuesday. During this face-to-face meeting in Michael's office, Michael told me that it takes a week for the court to process for a court date and that once I received the court date I would be coming into the office to see him for the next step. Nothing happened. No papers were dropped off at the courthouse. I waited extra time just in case. By June 13th I heard nothing and called Michael to see what the status of my paperwork was and he told me that he was busy and would call me the following morning. No call the next morning or any time after that. It is now July 1, 2022. I called the office to ask for an update. I talked to the front desk receptionist who told me that Michael wasn't in, that he was gone on medical leave and he might be back in the office next week or maybe the week after. I asked her who was Michael's supervisor and she told me he works for himself and has no supervisor. I asked if Weider was in charge of the office and she said yes...yet nothing can be done. Nobody in this office cares about you or your case. I see others have had near identical issues and I'm willing to bet that there are far more people who have gone through this or are going through this who haven't come forward. Why can this business get away with taking people's money and doing nothing? Stringing people along as if something's going to happen then, again, do nothing. If the people who work in this office are not to be held accountable and there are zero consequences for taking people's money and not delivering the services promised then how are they still in business and allowed to be involved with people's legal issues? This office had made a very simple paperwork situation into a two year panic where the other person involved has now vanished and can't be found. If this office had delivered the services as promised then this wouldn't have ever been an issue and I'd be here singing their praises. I literally, just needed all the papers filed by knowledgeable people, they told me they were the right people for this service. If you value your time, your money, your sanity, then do not use this business for any of your needs.
