Because as of August 21, 2021 a first offense DUI in California is a misdemeanor typically punished by 3-5 years of probation, $390.00 to $1000.00 in fines plus penalty assessments, DUI school, a 6-month driver's license suspension, and installation of an ignition interlock device. Oh yeah and this little gem per California Vehicle Code 23536(a), endnote 3: The court shall order that any person punished under subdivision (a), who is to be punished by imprisonment in the county jail, be imprisoned on days other than days of regular employment of the person, as determined by the court. So yay!! On days you are not working, you get to spend all your days off in jail. Sweet! Scare tactics, my ass. Sounds to me like Dale knows the law and wants to keep his clients out of jail. Yes, please. So yeah, I will take the "best" in the valley/award-winning litigator every day of the week. Ask yourself - would you go to the plastic surgeon who charges $3500 for a boob job or $150 for a boob job? And that's only for a boob job! When it comes to a DUI lawyer defending your freaking life and keeping you out of freaking jail for doing something bonehead-stupid like driving drunk, then yeah, I'd be like, "charge me whatever it costs and keep my sorry ass out of jail, Dale." Sorry, had to get that out of my system. So now onto my personal experience. I got in an auto accident and I wasn't sure who to talk to first... my insurance company? The police? The other guy's insurance company? WRONG on all counts. The very first person to talk to is Dale Gribow. If this happens to you, make sure not say anything that could later compromise your case and cost you money. Dale will make sure your car and your body are properly repaired as a result of an accident. I have called Dale for legal advice so I can sleep at night and not worry whenever any legal issues rear their ugly heads. I have referred Dale so many times, I have lost track.
