I looked through Yelp to find somebody to fix the fence and found Castillo Fencing. I love our dog and she loves to visit our neighbors but I wanted to keep her in the yard or she might get run over by vehicles or worse, get hunted by predators in the neighborhood. There are coyotes, and foxes in SA neighborhoods, you know. I saw something in the ad that told me to call him and the owner, Jose, to my surprise, answered the phone. I told him about my fence issue, and he said he would look at the fence and go from there. Luckily, there were other issues that I wanted him to see, and wanted him to build an additional chain link fence with a 6-foot gate. He showed up like he said he would and I showed him the areas in the fence that needed some work. Also, I told him about building a chain link with a 6-foot gate and he said that he could do it. Luckily, he wanted to start that day and sure enough, we agreed on a price, and off he went to get materials. He dug the fence holes for the metal posts, see them in cement, and once he was done, he said he'd wait until tomorrow for the cement to set. He was coming back the next day to finish up. It took him a couple of days to get done because the materials for the fence gate were unavailable at the big box stores. He was able to get them finally and finished the job. Overall, he did a wonderful job getting everything that I wanted to be done. He went out of his way to get the job done well and have a satisfied customer. There are not too many workers that will handle this small job but Jose wanted to do it and I was so pleased. I was so glad to find Jose. He builds all kinds of fences and I told him that if I had more fences to build and fix, he will be the first one I would call.

Requested "gas money" to cover visit, visited for a while and promised to return Monday (next day) to fix, was a "NO SHOW" / "NO CALL." To be reasonable here I would have rated higher if he would have had the common decency and little professionalism to not bid or "pull" away from fixing it with a simple call or text. For those that had great service, I wish that was my experience, sadly not.

His estimate was "very fair" and after my acceptance of his offer he was able to do the repair on the spot . He was very meticulous and took his time doing the repairs. Excellent and professional work performed, and I plan to use Todd on some other projects in the near future.
