This was my first experience with the Four Seasons Dermatology. I felt that Brent was total engaged in our conversation and that he understood my concerns. He suggested a remedy. The Doctor explained each treatment throughly, and made almost painless injections due to her steady hand and perfect placement. This was my first visit and I'm very impressed. At my previous Medical Spa, I would see the doctor very rarely, almost always being treated by a technician. Being treated by the doctor directly, in a calm, non-rushed manner was fantastic. The results are just what I was hoping for.

She also thoroughly explains procedures and answers questions with grace. She is also excellent at creating a calm and tranquil environment during her treatments. He dismissed one concern I had, spoke mostly to the young intern in attendance, and I swear he copped looks at my middle-aged body by doing strange flourishes with my gown during a mole check. Triple yuck. Fortunately, he has since retired. 2. Asked for a woman second time around. Got a cold fish who knew nothing about natural treatments- like olive oil, for God's sake. Prescribed steroids. I was underwhelmed. 3. Third time's the charm. Got a young woman who is engaged, personable, knowledgeable, helpful, and understands that we are equals. I'm sticking with her. I needed to find a dermatologist locally since the one I had is 5.5 hours away. I was treated so warmly by the one young receptionist that I set up a routine checkup appointment for two weeks later on the spot. The dermatology PA-C Kara Hankes saw me. She was very warm and friendly as well. She was kind to talk to, gentle demeanor and thorough in her skin check. I asked her to remove a mole that I'd been scratching and a benign lesion on my cheek (I really should wear more sunscreen). As I was having a slight breakout around the scalp, she ordered me a prescription shampoo and had staff follow up a few days later to let me know the outcome of the mole removed. I will continue to come here and take advantage of the skincare offerings, such as reducing sun damage and facials.

(Dorset street Dermatology charged me $250 for canceling 24 hours before an appointment, and I will never go there again. Laura, the manager, said that the business has nothing to do with being nice. That was an understatement.) On the other hand, Nancy Carlson's offices are always respectful and personable and very, very nice. They have never tried to bilk me out of money. They run a professional business. They are never cruel to their clients, and that matters to me. A+++
