So coming in they…read moresaid I need x-rays, I asked why I needed an X-ray to get a cleaning (bc I m pregnant I can't get x-rays) and they said "we can tell you have a lot of red flags". I was like "oh wait I am not sure what I did wrong, I just don't understand why I would need them" they said we need you to leave. And he kicked me out, 9 months pregnant and all. I have never ever been treated like that before in my life, just incase some of you might have questions about your teeth - they don't tolerate that at all. So wild, not educating the patience or helping them get the right care. My husband called saying hey why are you treating my wife like this and the doc said I am twisting the words and was argumentative just to argue (that's not my personality). I have never met a doctor who does not appreciate question. In all sincerity I was actually trying to understand, but they clearly didn't like that. Really wished they treated me more kind. And I kind want people to know what to expect coming to this place, so that's why I am Leaving this review. Also, I just read the other reviews and I guess this isn't the first weird thing about x-rays! The senior hygiene lady was so mean to me too! I m not sure why this place can get away with treating people like this.

I have excellent teeth, but go for cleanings every 3 to 4 months to take care of my gums. On this visit, I was told I must get X-rays, fine no big deal. But when I did not want them the senior hygienist were essentially yelling at me. I will not name any names but the doctor essentially told me go somewhere else... He then sent me a letter" Thank you for visiting the practice you're going to need to find a new dentist" Wow that's after I already indicated I would find a new dentist. Thanks for the going away letter. I agreed to the X-rays because I needed a cleaning, my "new" hygienist loved to berate me the entire appointment commenting on my gums not being perfect or my slightly crooked bottom teeth. Mind you my teeth with the exception of 4 bottom teeth are perfectly straight. She told me to get bottom braces not once but 4 times. The doctor who sent me the lovely going away letter, who I've gone to for over 8 years spent about 15 seconds with me at my appointment. Instead of calling me to address my negative experience or even apologizing to keep my business, he sent a letter " Thank you for visiting our practice. Going forward your going need to find a new dentist". Going forward with this type of incredibly bad interaction , he will need to find new patients. To treat a long term patient like I'm disposable because they are too busy to deal with me, is just how unprofessional and terrible they acted towards me. Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    A TRUE HERO, DR. MINA HANAH…read more I was lucky enough to have Dr. Mina Hannah recommended to me as a solution to two horrible experiences in getting dentures. The first dentist,?Dr. Patel at Modern Day Smiles in South St. Petersburg was so rough in extracting my teeth that I was left beyond black, blue, and purple and was horribly bloodied for over a week and a half. I also had gotten one of the ill-fitting and uncomfortable pair of the dentures ever, and furthermore those dentures were not fitted to my mouth and were only supposed to be trial dentures, however that was never disclosed to me. From the moment my teeth were extracted I was in excruciating pain; I thought it was because the dentures didn't fit correctly, but I was soon to learn I was wrong. After going back to Dr. Patel for a follow up as was previously scheduled, I was turned away at the door without explanation.  After further investigation on my part, I was told by them that they didn't take my insurance anymore, which I ultimately found to be an untruth (think lie).  Additionally, Dr. Patel left a number of teeth broken off below the gum line in my mouth, which was the source of my pain I found out, and found out by Dr. Hanah!   I procured the services of a second Dentist at Coast Dental on South Dale Mabry, Dr. Richard Cantwill. I went in to see what the dentist Dr. Cantwill could do to help alleviate this gut-wrenching pain I was experiencing in my mount from my prior visit with Dr. Patel at Modern Day Smiles. Dr. Cantwill took an x-ray of my mouth and when he came back to talk to me, he told me that I had a case for medical malpractice. I asked him to document his findings and statement.  He refused to do so.  I might add that I never mentioned anything previously about medical malpractice; this was Dr. Cantwill's own assumption or diagnosis as you will.  Moreover, Dr. Cantwill grew extremely upset that I'd asked him to document his findings and unprovoked by me, assaulted me!  Needless to say, the Police were called and a report was subsequently filed.   Enter my hero, Dr. Minah Hannah and his staff at Manhattan Dental Solutions! They are extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. Instantly I was made to feel at ease and welcomed. When I met Dr. Hannah, he was very straightforward with me and told me that the direction I was going to get a proper fitting set of dentures through my insurance company was not going to be easy and he was right. My insurance initially denied my request for a replacement dentures even though the dentures that were initially provided for me were temporary and ill-fitting dentures Dr. Hannah explained to them my need to get proper dentures. Dr. Hannah was very patient and very persistent and ended up helping me to get a new smile, and gave me back my self-esteem. He took the time to counsel me and speak to the insurance company several times and told me that whatever happened, he was going to make sure I was happy!  And he did!! Dr. Hannah worked tirelessly and received the approval from the insurance company after many months of exhausting work.  I am grateful. These dentures look good, will last me a lifetime, he went out of his way to make sure that I was happy with everything.  In the end I received a million dollar smile!! I will be forever grateful to Dr. Hannah and his friendly and courteous staff for the patience, support, and great finished product I received. Dr. Hannah, you truly are a hero to me. Thank you Dr. Hanah!

    I need a gentle, no upselling dentist I can trust…read more Dr.King was my second dentist I tried when I moved to Tampa. The first could not deliver on either of my requirements. Dr.King is wonderful! I like her staff and that matters too. I trust Dr.King and if she recommends something, and she has not recommended much as I've had a ton of work done previously, I know she sees a need. It's also a beautiful and pristine office and that matters too.

    I would like to warn all patients that the receptionist at this office will sign you up for…read moreinsurance and without telling you she also signs you up for automatic renewal. I had Joan sign me up for a dental plan in 2019. She signed me up for automatic renewal without telling me and I was charged for 2020, 2021, and again in 2023 without my knowledge. In that period I went to the office and had work done without insurance paying anything. They quit accepting that plan after 2019. Then she sells me a new plan in 2022 and I soon discover I had been paying for the first one for three years without any benefit. I complained and they cancelled my insurance without reimbursing me for anything. I knew I would never get my premiums back for the first plan but they should reimburse me for the second. They have ripped me off of 150 dollars and when I disputed the charge they refused to settle the dispute. This was Joan's mistake, she never asked or told me she was signing me up for auto renewal. This is so wrong. Besides that, after spending over 10,000 for crown replacement my mouth has never been right. My mouth bothers me constantly now and 3d xrays don't show what is under the crowns but something is not right. I would advise you all to stay away from this office, you may learn to regret it as I have.
