I very rarely ever take time to write a review but the experience we had with this law firm was so…read moreawful I had to make sure other clients are warned. a. We hired Haber Associates when my husband was laid off from work. We originally met with Chris Haber to review the severance package and he advised us that we were not compensated fairly and that he could help us with getting more. At first, we were very excited and trusted that we were in good hands. Slowly over time that feeling changed as we were left in the dark about our claim for weeks at a time without any follow-up. We would call the lawyers asking for updates by email or voicemails and it would be weeks until we would hear back from anyone and then once we got our invoice they billed us just for reading and listening to our emails/voicemails without following up. Our claim was passed down to a lawyer with less experience and the process overall took almost 3 months to get any conclusions settled. As most people would agree, this is already an emotional time for a family, so being left in the dark when it comes to the status of your claim and then being charged an absurd amount is adding salt to the wound. Overall, they were only able to get us two extra weeks of severance which was 6 less than we were originally promised and the main reason we hired them. We would have been better to have just taken the original package, after paying their lawyer fees we were actually worse off than we were to begin with.
