He is definitely a photo journalist and captures candid moments as well as can pose you and then patiently wait until he gets the photo he is waiting for. My husband and I can get a little awkward in a lot of posed photos so we liked that Roland would take us to different locations and keep us moving and let us just laugh at the awkwardness. I wasn't going to do engagement photos but Roland recommended them and I am glad we did as it gave us a chance to try out some different poses and learn what worked for us and what didn't so we knew what to focus on on our Wedding day and what not to waste time on. It also allowed us to get comfortable with Roland and for him to get to know us and our style. On our wedding day he had no issues going to two different locations where the bridesmaids and groomsmen were getting ready. From then, I have had difficulty even communicating with this company. It was several weeks before I could even schedule an appointment with this company because I could not get in contact with her. I had a phone number and an email address and neither of them I could communicate with. Several weeks from the date of purchase, I was given the opportunity to schedule an appointment, but I was pressured into scheduling for a time that did not work for me and in a location that did not work for me. However, I took the appointment because I knew that there was going to be slim to no chance of me being able to schedule a different appointment with her that would work. Knowing that it was written in the contract that I would receive a free consultation, I asked for one, but no longer seemed an option with this company. When we finally shot the photographs on August 13, it was not what I had expected either. I had to pay extra for a hotel room, which was not a hotel room that I particularly liked. The offer was also supposed to include snacks and wine. While I had wine, I was not offered snacks. After I shot the photographs, I was told it would be a few weeks and they would send me a link to the photos so that I could view them and select the ones I wanted. It is not October 13, two months after shooting the photos, and I have never seen my photographs. I cannot even get in contact with this company to see where my photographs are. I have emailed both Julie and her assistant several times and I cannot tell you how frustrated I am that I cannot get in a response from either of them. Living Social had to close the deal because this company had so many complaints and was not able to uphold their contract. I have no idea what they are going to do with my photos, since I have never seen them and I know that she is looking for exposure. Therefore, I would STRONGLY suggest against purchasing this deal because it has been nothing but frustrating.
