She was extremely thorough and professional in helping him plan the time of day with the best lighting and location within the park as he is from out of town. She captured the entire proposal from a short distance away (she was taking photos of the landscape/nature when we arrived so it would be a surprise!) and took lots of posed shots for us too - you can trust her to help you with all the details. I love the candid shots, close ups, and her ideas for poses, and the pictures of the scenery that she included. We had family photos done at Joshua Tree while vacationing for a week in Palm Springs. These were…read moreimportant one year wedding anniversary pictures for my Husband and I who got married during Covid and for our family who hadn't been able to get pictures done in a long time. I will say Mattie was very kind in person, but I was so devastated by her and her professionalism following that session. Our session was on a Tuesday. She discovered her memory card had an error and her hard drive computer crashed on Wednesday afternoon. She left out of town Thursday at 3am out of town. We recieved an email on the Friday after our shoot (on the last day of our vacation) stating she'd lost all of our photos and there wasn't a way to recover them. While apologetic - she didn't offer to find us another photographer when we only had a few hours, didn't call to apologize, didn't take it to a professional store to get it looked at as other several photographers told us you can usually recover something. She did reimburse us the total and stated she was unable to communicate with us directly. At that point I was hurt, but also felt like she left no room for us to feel like we had been wronged and there wasn't room for further conversation since this had all been through email (even though we texted prior to the session). There has been no contact since with any follow up since September 10th - today is the 20th. I thought maybe we'd hear back something like I was able to take it to xyz store to be assessed and no word. We are just disappointed and feel that people should tread with caution when booking her services if they are doing a trip from out of town. I would not recommend this photographer.

The small looks and giggles between the staged shots. He was able to capture all of that. One of my favorite things about my photos was that he was able to capture my guests' genuine reactions during the wedding. He truly can rock the momemt. So talented! He knows how to pose people in small, medium, and large groups. He'll remind guests if they need to button any jackets to get that great shot. He knows how to incorporate the background so he isn't just taking pictures of people but really the entire environment. There is great balance in the photos. He was extremely flexible the day of. We had minor schedule changes and he just went with the flow. I am SOOOO grateful he was able to photograph our big day. THANK YOU RYAN!!

We had an intimate wedding in Disneyland and wanted only one photographer as it was quite a small gathering. From the get go, Ryan was terrific. Excellent and quick communication, very reasonable price and great personality. Got along with all our guests, videographer, wedding staff and yeah, the photos were great too. It is rare to find such great work ethic, personality and quality work in one person at such reasonable prices. Also, he wrote us a very lovely blog post with photos that we shared with all our friends and family. Definitely recommend Ryan for all your wedding needs. He is a rockstar!
