My husband and I opted for the engagement photo shoot and having 2 photographers for 6 hours at the actual wedding. For the engagement photos, my husband wanted a rustic field look...we gave Blendi a google pin drop location, and she had went a few days before to scope out the land and figure out the best photo spaces. The day of the engagement photo shoot, she was on time, professional, and fun. I absolutely hate taking pictures but with her, she made it feel so relaxing. The end result was beautiful. She sent us a booklet of pictures and a USB drive of all the originals (touched up). For the wedding, Blendi and Laurent (sp?) were amazing. I just received my photos back and they were able to make magic. I had some issues with my family members and Blendi was willing to play "bad guy" in order to get the shots that I wanted. She was super creative and had an eye for a perfect shot. Most of the time, I didn't even know she was there...but regardless, there were beautiful shots. She was able to get amazing shots with the short amount of daylight we had. She was tactful and professional. We received our flash drive 3 weeks after the wedding and I am so happy with the result. We had the most wonderful experience with Beverly and Steve at Love Me Silly! We brought in our…read morenewborn at eight days old, and Beverly (we have dubbed her "the Baby Whisperer") was so gentle and patient with him. She knew exactly how to swaddle and pose him, while Steve was a true artisan with the camera. Steve captured the most expressive shots at all the right angles. Beverly and Steve were also very receptive to our requests! My husband is a rock climber, so we wanted to create a couple of newborn pictures that included his climbing gear. Beverly made it come together so beautifully! Steve and Beverly were also patient and kind about newborn messes (spraying during diaper changes, spit up after feeding, etc.). They've seen it all (they are parents themselves), and the mess doesn't faze them. In addition, they gave some great advice to ease my anxieties as a first-time mom. Yes, everyone needs to start somewhere but I am not sure utilizing them for your BIG day is a wise move for the following reasons: Communication. They made it seem like they were/are the busiest photographers in the world-- so much so that they cannot respond to a text or email for days if not weeks. When you're planning your big day, communication is everything. Creativeness. On the day of, Johanna provided no real creative direction and we were left to come up with different poses and photo ops. In fact, there were several special moments I wanted photographed that she either missed or failed to capture. Actual content received. Johanna was present at our reception for over 5 hours and there is maybe ONE decent photo while we are all seated at dinner. I expected to see photos of every table and especially several photos from the table me and my husband sat at. Instead, there's about three photos of me and my husband at our table. There isn't even one photo of the entire table with the bride and groom's parents. Moving onto the dancing, there are also minimal photos. I danced for five hours straight and the content received shows me in maybe 10 photos with friends and guests. In fact, I danced for an entire song with my husband's sister and there isn't ONE photo to reflect it. Again, everyone needs to start somewhere and Johanna and Q. seem to be very nice but I, unfortunately, am disappointed with the photos of my wedding reception. ALSO, no sneak peek was provided. I hired a photographer for my wedding ceremony that was on a different day and she provided us with a sneak peek within 3 days. Experience is everything and when it's your big day, everything matters.
