Jordan was able to take my scatter-brained ideas and turn them into a cohesive, perfect day. He never balked when we wanted to incorporate cartoons, comic books, 1950s fashion... Whatever we threw at him, he was on board with. Jordan has an eye for detail that can make any space, and I mean any space, feel amazing. Our reception venue was a huge, empty hangar. It didn't look like much, but when Jordan and his team were done with it, it looked incredible. It's not often that a wedding goes off without anything going wrong, but ours did. She told me that one bride cried because she was getting so much pressure from her family to do more, but Kerry was doing it all...taking care of everything...I cried because that was most certainly NOT my experience. Worthless words. I would have been better off to keep that money for myself considering how much of the planning I had to do on my own. Their ideas were uninspiring at best, with no real creative direction. I ended up doing the clean up after my wedding, in my wedding dress, even though it was part of my package, because Kerry and Julie were LONG gone. I spoke to Kerry on several occasions about my dissatifaction, but it made no difference. Rather then rise to the occasion they continue to drag their heels and were happy to let me do all the work...even though they assured me this wouldn't be the case. They were a total joke. I have been to another wedding, unfortunately, planned by them and it was a disaster, lots of rain and no rainy day plan. Wedding planning 101 totally lost on them. We hired them for the full package deal: wedding planning, décor, and day of coordinating. We did this because we had to move to another province for university in the fall of 2016 and decided planning a wedding would be less stressful with the help of a professional wedding service. We were wrong. Communicating with BOAB was like pulling teeth. I would send them an email and would get a response from a different person almost every time telling me they would get me said info soon...and then radio silence for weeks to days at a time. When we did get information from them about vendors it was always stuff that came up with a quick google search, something we could easily do on our own, or was information that was totally irrelevant to us. For example we asked them to help us find a suit for my wife. They sent us a link to a custom men's suit service. Last time I checked woman's suits are very different from men's and this was just one more thing we ended up doing on our own. When they provided us with vendor information they expected us to contact them for prices ect and sometimes vendors they recommended just would not respond. Basically it seemed like they would google the information we wanted, send us the results, and left us to do the rest. Ultimately, we could not trust them to do the job we paid them for and I ended up planning the entirety of the event anyway. There is a clause in their standard form contract stating any money paid to them they keep if you chose to not use them for any reason and you must pay them in full really far in advance. By the time we realized we were not getting what we had expected and wanted to stop using their service we had no choice but to continue; we thought we might as well use them for the day of coordinator and decor as it was paid for anyway. So, I planned the entire wedding and then set up family members and friends to pick up the pieces on the day of the wedding in case BOAB fell through as the coordinators. I am glad I did because so many things through the cracks that was supposed to be taken care of by them that my friends and family had to take care of instead. Additionally, I had guests complain to me about the behaviour of the coordinators stating they were rude to them during the day. I am still seething. As for the wedding ceremony: we had a rehearsal with our bridal party and BOAB the day before. They knew how our ceremony was supposed to be set up and failed to set up a table for us to sign the wedding license (this was discussed IN DETAIL the night before). We had our ceremony and when the time came to sign the registry there was no where for us to do this. Guests were confused, we were confused, and the coordinators were no where to be found. By time we flagged them down to help us several minutes had passed. By the time they got a table for us so we could continue with our ceremony guests had gotten up and were moving around/leaving/taking photos. This ruined the entire ceremony, the entire reason for having a wedding. I was and I am still LIVID about this and got a flimsy apology from one of the coordinators afterwards. I would never recommend BOAB to anyone. You can do this on your own and save yourself the stress. Edit: The company has commented all my reviews asking for people to contact her for her side of the story on this event. I find this particularly insulting as she hasn't even bothered to try talking to us.We did contact them with our dissatisfaction for their performance and this got us no where. Bottom line: they screwed up repeatably and ultimately ruined out wedding ceremony. While there may be two sides to every story I would think long and hard about using this company on your wedding day. It comes down to who you want to trust: MULTIPLE reviewers stating they had a bad experience with this company who stand to gain nothing from writing a review, or a company asking you to contact them for "their side" of a story who want you for your money. I would hate for anyone to go through what my partner and I did which is why I have reviewed them.

You need light-coloured table linens? They ask you, "Wheat damask? Gold damask? Or champagne?" You need a freaking tent? Oh, they've got every size of tent you could possibly imagine. I've found the staff to be very helpful here, if a bit overwhelmed. They're always really busy on weekends, so I try only to go on a weekday if I can help it. That way, I get full staff attention. I love that they have a table-making station where you can pair table linens with placemats, candle holders, and other festive decorations, and about a dozen or so tables are all dressed up for inspiration. For most items, you can rent the day before and return the day after, and almost anything about your order can be changed up until 48 hours before the event. That's very helpful for a bride with changing guest numbers!

My lasting impression is that I should have just handled the arrangements myself. We were given great service in the beginning - Jolyn is very knowledgeable on the various resorts and gave us great confidence booking with her. We were promised a great rate for booking early and in a group, a free wedding website, monthly newsletters for our guests leading up to the big event and a package for all guests before departing that would include customized tickets, baggage tags and travel information. Our rate did not turn out to be very competitive - only about half of my guests actually booked via our agent because of this. The website was great but never updated unless specifically requested. Our guests received one newsletter. The majority of our guests did not receive their package before departing as it was mailed too late (4 days before departure) and it turned out to just be a printed version of the e-ticket, no special extras as promised. Many guests complained Jolyn did not return calls or emails. She only has voicemail available during business hours. One guest was told months after providing his initial information that she would not be able to book his travel after all since he lived in the United States. One guest was charged under a different wedding (Jolyn did have this corrected before he noticed). Other guests provided updated passport information or requested insurance quotes and just did not get a response. I personally found that over time it seemed Jolyn's interest and service level dropped dramatically. Instead of a response within a day or so I'd have to send two or three follow up messages. My guests were getting similar treatment so they would then come to me for information and updates which was the entire reason I went with a destination wedding travel specialist to begin with. I found no benefit what so ever to working with Wander Love Destination Weddings but it did hamper my over all wedding planning experience to be sure.
