That was Roberto from Sponges today. I had hired Sponges because I'm selling two cars immediately. I needed both of them to look showroom-ready for online sale "beauty" photos. Roberto showed up this morning exactly when promised... on Memorial Day... and worked for seven straight hours. Near the end, one of the car batteries drained because the doors had been open for hours during detailing. The detailing itself was top shelf - more than five stars - but what really stayed with me was Roberto's attitude: always a big, reassuring smile on his face, coupled with hard work, professionalism and the kindness of a righteous human being. A scheduled an appointment for a week later. The lady on the phone explained there would be an extra $20 fee for pet hair. I told her that's fine and that I also work in customer service and half to deal with Groupon users and promised not to freak out about extra charges. Anyways, day of, guy stopped by my work and grabbed my keys. I was expecting a short one to two hour wipe-down. I went out there after a hour and explained what I was most concerned about. I spent two years refueling airplanes so my car has plenty of fuel and grease residue in the leather. They guy said he'd do his best. After five hours of working in the hot sun (I should've parked in the shade) the guy was done and my car looked almost as good as it did when I bought it off the showroom floor. I won't let food or drink in my car now. It's just so pretty. I was so impressed that I gave the guy a $30 tip, and I have never tipped anyone that much for anything. I'm against people writing reviews after just one experience, but these guys would have to completely screw me over next time in order to change my mind about them.

Removed my stripes without informing me there was any risk of damage to my vehicle. The removal…read moreprocess caused thousands of dollars in damage to my paint. After acknowledging the damage, I was told they would make it right and at minimum refund the $400 I paid for the service. Over the course of about a month, I was repeatedly led in circles and given assurances that never happened. "Josh" personally acknowledged the damage, shook my hand, and told me he would take care of it and get me squared away. After weeks of back and forth, I was ultimately told issuing a refund would be "bad business." What's actually bad business is damaging a customer's vehicle, acknowledging responsibility, making promises, and then walking them back without attempting to make things right. I'm a United States Navy veteran and disabled veteran. I'm not trying to get over on anyone -- I simply expected accountability and honesty. I have photos of the damage and repair estimates documenting the issue. Very disappointed in how this was handled.
