Pretty disappointed in my acrylic nails. They did get me in quickly, which I appreciated, but they seemed very rushed throughout the whole process even though I was only 1 of three in the salon. The nails on my right hand look great but the left hand is all bumpy and unevenly clear-coated. It has bubbles bumps and streaks, not worth the $70 I paid. Also, I was not told the amount until after I paid, which I thought was weird and kind of sneaky. (I didn't think to ask until it was already done) read more

The inside is always super clean, especially now during covid. You have to call to make an appointment, no more walk-ins. They take your temperature and make you fill out a screening form. I went on with a specific picture and he told me that wasn't bold and I should do holographic, I said that was ok because I didn't want to be rude and he proceeded to do the absolutely wrong color of holo I chose, did not inform me it costs extra to pay with card and made my nails super crooked. He didn't ask what shape I wanted or anything, I ended up paying $90 for these nails in the wrong shape and a color I absolutely hate with huge bulky nails. I've been to a million nail places and this is definitely a 1 star, would not recommend. read more

The place is ok and the main lady is nice and took me in quick. The only thing and the MOST important thing is the carelessness of the nail tech. He did my nails and he wasn't clean enough and he got stuff on them from filing them. So when he painted them and UV lighted them they had BUMPS and he was just like "is nice is nice " and sent me on my merry way. Wonderful service!! My boyfriend and I came in after another one of our friends raved about their color changing polish. We got mani pedis and I ended up going with a really neat holographic acrylic nail! For both of us it was like $133 but it was worth it. They are very friendly and thorough and even stayed past closing to make sure it was a great job. They're doing really well keeping Up with the new trends as well. I have no complaints at all! I have been there 2 previous times and had no issues. However this current time I was highly disappointed. My mother and I made an appointment for 1 and were told to arrive on time which we did. When we arrived we were made to wait which wasn't an issue because Christmas was a few days away. You know places get busy. My mother loves having the older lady and the real young one do her pedicures because due to knee issues my mom has a hard time lifting her legs and the ladies are so helpful. So I have to give them some stars for that. The issue is with Justin. I guess Justin runs the place I don't know but usually he's very nice but this time he messed up. A walk in came in just as we were finishing our pedicures and he informed us that my mother would have to come back to get her fill because she wasn't clear on the phone what we wanted (don't know I wasn't there when the phone call was made). And apparently this walk in was more important than an appointment. So he went ahead and did my nails which I asked for a dip manicure and he rushed through it and lectured me the entire time about how we need to be specific about what services we want and how people need to be on time. Ummm sir we were on time. So because he rushed my nails the powder was super thin and within 4 days my nails are chipping. I won't be going back which is sad because I really liked them but Justin fucked it up. read more

Really disappointed, I am from San Diego Ca and spent a few days here in McAllen Texas for a family event, my mother and I decided to get our nails and toes done. ( I had done mine about a week and half and had paid 80$ just for my hands, i only wanted a fill to change the color for the event(15nera). The owner (Jennifer) had said that she recommended to take them off because the person before had used glitter powder and 9/10 it causes fungus, i did have doubts about it because I take care of my hands and feet a lot! So low key I freaked out! Plus I couldn't change the color so I went ahead and have them remove while I was getting my pedicure which was done by Marylyn, she was very sweet can't complain about the pedi. My nails were done by Justin, which didn't bother to introduce himself, nor a hello, how are u, or welcome?? He was so focused on his phone, idk watching what??‍.. Jennifer had giving me a price of 75. Then Justin stated it was going to be 80$ I did mention Jennifer had said 75, he said the length that I chose were 80$, I was fine with it. At the end I was a little concerned because they felt really thin, and I was afraid that they would break, Justin response was that they wouldn't because the chemicals they use are "high quality". I left with doubt but really couldn't do much about it... long story short I spent 150 including tip. My nails didn't last, 3rd day two nails broke, and I didn't even feel it, I had to get them fixed and the lady that did them stated they were too thin for how long they where, and they should have known. So I'm back in Cali with different color nails because we tried to match them as best as possible, and the lady here only charged me 10 dollars because she said I had already spent too much( other places would charge u 10 a nail) ‍.. I wouldn't recommend this place, unless you live in the area because you can always go back and have them fix it, i did go here because I had read there reviews, but this place didn't work out for me, personally. Best of luck, if your not from the area I wouldn't recommend them. read more

Came down to the valley for a wedding and had to get my nails done ASAP. I went in and Justin was busy, but said he would call me 15 min before he was done so I could go out and run the other errands I had to do in the mean time. YUP, He sure did. I love coming to JP Nails because I know I'm going to leave with beautiful nails/toes. They tend to be busy, but walk-ins are always welcome. Be prepared to wait, but it's worth it. They don't rush even though people are waiting to be serviced and I appreciate it because when it's my turn I know they'll do a through job. The pedi chairs are comfortable and they sanitize them after every guest, no plastic linings but you'll see them scrub them down. They really do use quality products and your polish will last until the next visit. read more

First and for most, the customer service was excellent. We were attended as soon as we walked in. Justin gave us the prices before hand, which I thought was very nice of him. The two nail techs that did our pedis were absolutely amazing as well. They were very nice and friendly. They conversed with us about different topics. It made us feel very comfortable and ease. I was going to get a mani but then Justin suggested I just get shellac because apparently my cuticles weren't bad. I really appreciated his recommendation because in the end he saved me money and wasn't trying to make me spend more. On my way out, I messed up one of my toes and Justin called the tech right away to fix it. She was very sweet and nice about fixing it as well. I am in love with my nails. I came here after going to a salon down the street that was over booked so I found JP nails on a google. I should have known something was up when the place was completely empty. They required mask and also asked for a form to be filled out with name, address, and DOB-- very odd for a nail place. I didn't not add that information. Upon sitting down, there was no air conditioning!! The place looked dirty and open, dripping bottles sitting out around the pedi chairs. The nail tech was nice but was on a zoom call the entire time. Sometimes not even looking at my nails while he was doing them. The end result looks like I already need a fill and they are one hour old. He ran my card and when I looked at the receipt, he had charged me $73 for a full set with shellac. I was shocked. I looked at all the prices on the wall and none of it made any sense and he couldn't speak to it and only said that it is what it cost. Don't make my mistake. read more

They recommend you buy your own manicure tools or offer the option of purchasing them there. Absolutely not. My sister went here anyways and her nails were unevenly shaped, unevenly painted and chunky. We went to the next salon right after and got them redone. read more
