It is so bad it feels like a scam towards manipulating consumers. On April 20 a repairman came to our house as our freezer stopped working. He was nice and seemed knowledgeable.....and diagnosed the problem. We were asked to pay $500.00 for the part which seemed reasonable and he scheduled to be back in 1 week on the 27th (which is a Monday). On Friday the 24th we received a call stating the part was lost in transit and they would reschedule. This is the last communication we have had about our service and it has been two full weeks since the cancellation, three since the visit. The number you can call for help is actually a call center somewhere in Texas......and they have no way to resolve any issues or provide any information as Mr Appliance of Western Ohio is a franchise. Each time you call they try and contact the local office (and get no response) and then promise to escalate the issue to the escalation department who will call back the same day. We have called every business day since April 27 (10 business days now) and heard the same speech and never once gotten a phone call back or any information regarding the part or service. We have requested a refund numerous times as we have already resolved the freezer problem---and of course they have to contact the local office and the escalation department will handle it......which truly feels like a way just to get us off the phone.....as it never happens. We even believed it fair for them to deduct a diagnostic fee for the tech coming to our home.....and offered this reasonable resolution. We requested a tracking number for the part the day they cancelled the appointment which they could not provide. Mr Appliance is owned by Neighborly which has a very detailed program on how you can become a franchise owner---and then they distance themselves from any accountability as we called Neighborly and of course it is another call center. I wish we had read all the reviews prior to calling Mr Appliance. It has been 2 full weeks since our appointment was cancelled and we have not received one update. I do not think we will ever get our money back and the only recourse we have is to warn as many people as possible not to call Mr Appliance. DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

They were clearly on drugs. They did not clean the house and intimidated me into paying and now will not refund my money. I hired him twice..the first time he was very nice respectful and charged a good price and I thought great I found a great guy to work with for things I can't do myself. So when it seemed he completed the work the first time (that now only works intermittently) I was excited to hire him back right away for some other jobs being I've searched for a long time to find a handyman who was honest and would do a good job. I made a whole list of stuff that needed to be done. We discussed the prices and agreed upon them as well as wrote them down. The work was supposed to be done that day but it was not and he insisted on payment immediately assuring me he would return to finish it the next morning. Days later he still had not returned telling me he took other jobs after he started mine (and after he charged me for everything) and he had to do those first. At this point, he had not finished one single project but required me to pay. I should have just said no and made him wait until the work was completed. After charging me almost $500 he is refusing to return and has not completed one job that I was charged for. I am in the process now of working with his business payment provider on an investigation to have my funds returned to me. Luckily I have pictures of all his sloppy incomplete work and his texts to prove that he still did not complete his work and refused to return so thankfully that should be taken care of quickly. UPDATE: After seeing his response here and that he is lying through his teeth I figured I would post my receipts and photos of his work along with our communication back and forth. He is even more dishonest than I thought. BEWARE!!!!

A job that should have taken 2 days at the absolute most is not done and it's 1 month later. One excuse after another on why they couldn't come and VERY poor communication. They took days to return my messages. I paid them in full when they started, in good faith only to get ripped off.
