He is very friendly and helpful until he gets your money and then it all goes wrong. I have wobbly fence posts, uneven panels and mounds of concrete above soil level. He didn't arrive at agreed times and let me down time after time with the day he was supposed to be returning. Now he doesn't answer the phone. Unsurprisingly, there are few traders in Colchester who will deal with him and he has to pay cash. Have given one star, if I could have given less, I would have.

We went ahead with his quotation based on his estimate and transferred £240 for Danny to begin work on a Friday. Friday arrived and Danny did not arrive nor make any contact to provide us with reasons for him not having turned up. I phoned Danny and he said he had lost the telephone number. Whilst we had already committed as £240 had been transferred we agreed to him starting work the following day, which he did, admittedley 3 hours later than agreed. He worked into the evening and the picket fencing work is of a good standard, yet his extending of the patio area is not as there are paving slabs that are rocking and quite uneven. Again Danny requested £60 for further supplied that evening as he needed to return as he had not enough time to complete the job. He returned the next day, again late (albeit a Sunday but he turned up at 5pm & no contact to let us know when he would turn up). I have contacted Danny to request he repair the rocking paving and he said he would come to rectiffy but has not turned up - and I doubt he will....

Do not hire Beechwood Construction and development limited! We paid for jobs that turned up to be…read morefaulty. Ian Rogers walked out with our money ignoring our phone calls and emails to come and fix the jobs we have paid him for. He gave us a fixed price for our bathroom renovation, then half way said he would have to start charging daily rate. We already paid him half the amount - for the faulty jobs which we asked and asked him to fix, with him promising he would. When we did not accept the daily rate he walked out, living us with leaking radiator pipes, floor lights installed in the wrong position - so that the bath was covering the lights instead of them be positioned by the bath, wrong cable installed for the mirror light - so that we had to pay someone else to come and re install it, plus all the decorating we will have to do to our newly painted walls as they had to be chased again. In addition one other job that he's done for us, removing the chipboard subfloor and installing floorboards he built a hump where the two floors meet and now we have to pay someone else to make it good - again he kept saying he would fix it but instead he just dumped us with all these problems. He is trying to make an impression he is a big, serious company but instead he's got hired a few young chaps, who luck skill and experience in most jobs, it takes them for ever to complete a job and with no good results. They will also make a dump out of your house, Ian Roger will find ways and excuses to leave all the rubbish and unused building materials on site creating a mess. Sent from my iPad
