I paid in full for an ad which ran for 2 weeks before JS Paluch sold the contract to another bulletin company without any notification. My advertisement was not transferred to the new company. I have been getting the run-around from JS Paluch for over 2 weeks. I have not heard from the account manager who I was told would call me 2 weeks ago. I emailed customer care as my advertising agent advised, but I have not heard back. I have spoken with 2 people at the company who agree that I should be refunded when the proper mystery agent returns my call. The advertising agent who I last spoke to no longer has an active email with JS Paluch. At this point, I am wondering if I was scammed. I wouldn't suggest advertising with this company. read more

I used this company to run a small advertisement for my freelancing business for a year in my local church bulletin. After I initially contacted them, their representative, Victoria, was initially very responsive and answered all of my questions. I decided to give it a go and purchased a contract for a year. A few weeks after I got my ad set up, I attempted to contact Victoria via phone and email, and I wound up never hearing from her again. I eventually got a hold of the main office, and no explanation, excuse, or apology was ever given for the lapse in communication. I never even got a follow-up call from her after I set up the account. This is terrible business etiquette. Initially Victoria verbally guaranteed a return on my investment and claimed that all sorts of changes could be made to the ad and what newsletters I was published in. After 1 year I received NO positive leads got NO return on my investment. None. Zero. I wish I'd known about the poor reviews online before signing up with this company. My experience has been consistent with most of the negative reviews on here. This company has NO online payment system or online account management systems - unacceptable for a modern business. I had to call in with a debit card for every single payment. Even as a freelancer I can accept electronic payments via Square and Quickbooks. Find another company to spend advertising dollars with. Theonly gave my own parish two weeks notice and left them scrambling to find another bulletin company. He assured me that I would get "lots of calls" and "people will want more information about my business. Just wait and see." I am a mobile notary. I signed up with two parishes. My ad looks great but I did not receive one call after six weeks. The total bill was over $1800 for the year contract. They want 30% upfront and the contract is absolutely non-cancelible. This is a company that specializes in advertising sales for church bulletins. With a huge catholic church and school one block away, I thought it would be a good way to help build business. The cost $700/year for their smallest ad. (I split between two churches for six months). The results. No calls. Midway through my contract, I looked to cancel. No luck, and not very friendly customer service. No calls from my salesperson who was all too eager to take my check at the start. The contract terms are way to confining, there needs to be flexibility in terms of length of contract. If you're a small business looking for ways to get the word out about your services, you really need to think before you sign. Are there other companies like yours already advertising, do they have agreements with the churches (exclusivity?) Well, if they do, you're wasting your money. Print advertising is dead folks. Try Craigslist, e-mail marketing like constant contact or a website with better SEO, even direct mail and leave behinds, lots of groups online to make postcards and promotional items. DO NOT USE JS PALUCH COMPANY! We hired JS Paluch Company when I first started working for my organization and I wish I would have done a quick Google search on them and seen these horrifying reviews. For being a company that works with churches, not only are they rude - but highly unethical in their business practices. We had a contract with them for a year of advertising because we wanted to support a local church in our area. We realize now we should have just donated directly to the church instead of going through this company. Also - we paid in full upfront for a years worth of advertising with them. So you'd think if we wanted to go for another year, they would have sent us that shiny new invoice ASAP. Right? Over two years later, and a year after our advertising was up, they are hounding us on a year of unpaid invoices that we had never even seen before because little did we realize that initial contract is "continuous." Tricked you there huh? Well, here's the interesting part - WE NEVER RECEIVED ONE INVOICE DURING THE ENTIRE YEAR that apparently we were advertising during. After asking them very simple questions including - who were the invoices being sent to? If you didn't hear back from us, how did you follow up? Did you try to follow up? If we paid you in full the first year, why didn't we receive an invoice right away for the following year? Did you try calling us? Response from JS Paluch Company - "I apologize I am unable to answer questions why you didn't receive the billing." So where are we at now... well, they are still hounding us for unpaid invoices but have "offered a settlement" from $1,101.60 to $275.00. Why, thank you JS Paluch Company. This doesn't scream shady to us at all. We are appalled at the way they conduct business and would like this to serve as a HUGE WARNING - do not use this company. do NOT trust this company. I considered putting an ad in their bulletins. I had told them what I wanted and they instead sent me my name followed by a business identity that is out of date and phone number that is over 2 year out of date. I decided I did not want to place the ad after all. This was in September. I just found out they went ahead and charged me, before they even had approval of an ad and then just typed in my name and a phone number they could only have gotten with an internet search and have been publishing that for the last month and a half. Even worse, they refuse to take it down. I didn't even ask for a refund and they refused to stop printing their homemade randomly selected information because "Well why did you give us your credit card number then?" So they feel that if they have a credit card number for you on file they can charge you for whatever they want. For ever. They play the family business and we're Catholic shtick up. They are opportunistic, unprofessional and unethical. I will NEVER use anyone I see in their bulletins and will be happy to call the businesses and tell them why. This is not just hating. They intentionally took my money and have been publishing inaccurate material that I never approved and refuse to take it down for another 2 months. They are out to get whatever they can and are unethical and unprofessional. You cannot run a paid ad without getting the purchasers approval. You just do not do that. They need a competitor. Looking for a business opportunity. They are begging to be put out of business. The only positive reviews are from an employee and a lawyer ... just saying. Like many many other reviews. We are so sad our local Parish uses them. They are unethical, dishonest and just bad. They have literally stolen $700 from us after turning my wife and I over to a collection agency. Signed a contract in December 2016 with the promise they would have our ad in before the Christmas holiday. Never happened. Finally it ran in February and of course they billed us the first week of December. The agreement was quarterly billing. $600 was paid/ Half in May the other $300 in August. Next bill was from their attorney. $700 due now. They cancelled our ad that was supposed to run until Feb 2018 and we now owe the remaining balance. What a screw job !!!! Never ever do biz with them. I have used this company for advertising in the church bulletin and we have had not one phone call. Stuck in contract for a year. Complete waste of money! I also made the mistake and tried to order calenders from them and needed them soon. I placed the order with rep over the phone gave my credit info and quantity no problems, three weeks later get a letter in the mail saying they were not able to place my order because I didn't order enough! The rep didn't say anything when I placed the order and I read that on flyer which stated minimum order of 125 which I did order....they wanted 125 of each since i ordered two different kinds. Everything that Juliana (Our local rep) promised us was never delivered on and never received any follow up after we signed our contract. This company is very unprofessional, and the customer service is non-existent. We have been trying to cancel service since March 2019. We have contacted sales rep., and written letters every month, called customer service every month and leave messages as nobody answers their phones and they continue to send bills. We were told that our correspondence had not been received (sent in their printed envelopes) per Cecilia on 9/10/19 "they are not responsible for mail service". I asked to speak with a supervisor and was called back by MIldred. She informed me that they would discount the balance by half. I asked her to forward in writing her agreement. I never received any confirmation from Mildred yet received ANOTHER BILL this month with late fees. Technically, we should never have been billed for a renewed contract that had been cancelled prior to expiration date. read more

Wish that I would have read the bad reviews before booking with them. We did a year of advertising, then called and cancelled it because we saw no impact and wanted to stop it at the year. Just got our statement and they have continued to charge us even though it's no longer authorized. Called to get it reversed, and they claimed because the contract has no expiration date, they're still authorized to charge even though we asked them to stop. Terrible - I'll be calling all the churches they service and letting them know that this company is unethical and sleazy. UPDATE: After writing this review, I was contacted and after a few interactions, we came to an agreement and I was refunded. I have added a star because they did reach out, but I still would not recommend doing business with this company on an auto-pay policy, as it appears they have taken advantage of many business owners who have not had their situations corrected. Paid with a check for $700 with the understanding that I only want that to test. If it works I will redo. I did not pay with a credit card because they will keep on charging you, it's in their contract. With my check payment they cannot charge the same check again yet still they mailed me today a charge of $1500 because they renewed for a whole year!!! RIPOFF!!!I am a small business owner just working on growing my business. EFFECTIVE advertising can be beneficial so I had heard of JS Paluch. At first I was hesitant on paying the $700 but their representative over the phone assured me my business would grow. Their Representative, right away, came over to my offfice and gave me pointers on how to advertise my business. I paid them $225 as partial payment of the $700 total. I did not receive one single phone call from the AD. When I complained about it, they suggested I pay more for bigger space. Why didn't they state this upfront? I cancelled my service. This company should take a lesson in good business practices. Made a payment on my May 2021 invoice in June for the amount of $135.95. I noticed the check did not clear. I called them and talked to Mildred. She says due to Covid the check may take longer to clear. On July 27,2021 I called again. I was also informed of a credit due to Covid . The original amount of $135.95 was reduced to $ 64.74. I decided to make a payment by phone in the amount of $64.74. This now will bring my balance to zero. There should have been no charges during Covid due to no bulletins or church. I was told if the original check for $135.95 was processed, they would see the credit and the payment by phone and not process it due to a credit would be created. Plus cancelling checks can be very costly.Keep in mind that I also cancelled my account. In August my original check , from June , was processed almost three months later. Now there is a $135.95 credit that I will never use, since I cancelled my account. They also told me it would take up to three months to receive a refund. When you make a payment by phone the funds are quickly processed. But to get a refund takes up to 3 months? Referred this to my parish. I am also am in the middle of working with another party on this matter. read more

It was really a very bad experience dealing with such a poorly organized and unethical company, and that they did not solve anything. I hired the service for a year in February 2020, then in March the pandemic began and churches closed for many months, the same time that the bulletins were not published, I called several times and none of the employees who attended me matched my balance account, I tried many times to reach a fair agreement because I did not receive the service during that time. They told me they would refund or deduct from my contract for the 26 weeks that the newsletters were not published. I asked to please not renew my contract and offered only to pay my balance discounting what I did not receive from service because my small business was really affected by the pandemic and what I had least was money to continue paying for a service that I did not receive, and at first they accepted. later they contacted me saying that all businesses were affected including them, and that they could not credit me with anything that would extend my contract in a timely manner for the weeks that they did not publish and that there was no other way to fix it. I told them that because a written notice was not made or because they did not take into account the opinion of the clients, and they did not care, they only saw their benefit. and legally my contract ended in February now they are sending me letters for my late payment. They are a disgusting company, they do not have customer service, they do not care about anything more than charging something that is not a satisfactory service and the employees are very rude. I have read the reviews of many people dissatisfied with their service, I am going to spread my dissatisfaction so that people think twice before hiring this unprofessional and poor quality company, from service to human resources. read more

Do NOT advertise with J.S. Paluch. They are the worst to deal with. They charged me double what the sales person said and I had to go through several phone calls to get it back down. Then they put me at a different church and promised to automatically transfer the ad within 3 months when space was available. Later I found out you have to put in a WRITTEN notice that you want to transfer each month until there is room. This is the worst system. I advertised in 5 parishes and received responses from 1 out of 5 in over 12 months. Not one call of interest. Not even ONE from the other four. Do yourself a favor and avoid this form of advertising. Do yourself an even bigger favor and avoid doing business with JS Paluch. I have spent between $2K - 3K over 2 years with Paluch. I have far exceeded the business I gained through Paluch over the course of that time in less than one fiscal quarter using Google Ad Words at a price far, far, far less than advertising through JS Paluch. Additionally, DO NOT, should you make the poor decision to work with Paluch, DO NOT pay in advance. We did. We had a problem with our an ad and the service we received was a far cry from professional and courteous. Worst of all, we found it excruciating to communicate the problem to customer service and even more excruciating to have it resolved. Customer service was awful. Have you ever talked to someone in customer service that before you can explain what the problem is, they sound frustrated with you, provide ample attitude, cut you off mid-sentence, talk over you, place you on hold for long amounts of time, pass you and your problem/complaint around? No? Try JS Paluch's customer care. Because we had no recourse in the time it took to fix the wrong, prepaid ads, we held payment on ads that were not prepaid (amounting to ~$200). Which, despite having paid $~1500 for prepaid ads, and despite the problems with our ads, they felt justified in placing us for collections. Based on my less than satisfactory experience with Paluch's level of quality, customer care, and their extremely short-sightedness in placing a good (be-it unsatisfied client) for collections, ALONG WITH unfruitful results in regards to sells generated from the ads, I must say that this is an absurd company, promoting an absurd form of advertising for an absurd price. If I am J.S. Paluch, and I have a time machine, I go back and change the policy of placing an active client for collections for an amount as inconsequential as $200... that is WAY to small an amount to create the potential for public dissemination of negative experiences such as mine. In other words, JS Paluch bought a lot of negative advertising for the low, low price of just $200!! If you are considering JS Paluch, do yourself a favor and advertise elsewhere. They scam you into a longer contract than you originally signed on for by being very vague when you initially deal with their local sales reps, then refuse to let you cancel the contract once you start getting invoices! I never signed anything after my 26 week contract was up and they started me on a brand new contract without even contacting me...and I read every word of my original contract, it contained no renewal clause. No matter how hard i tried could not reach an agreement. Now they send me to collections for an ad that i did not approve. They can care less. No calls from the ad. She is so sweet, on top of her game and extremely helpful with anything and everything. Our ads always look vibrant, and the company offers great choices for layouts that work with your content.
