George and his family worked with me, on my timeline, budget and helped me get through a very rushed and chaotic move.

My sister was in a tough spot and needed to move out of her house and sell it. Years and years of…read moreaccumulated "stuff" was all over the house, in a 5ft height basement, a storage shed, and a two-car garage. Then there was her antique furniture that had great sentimental value. She was very emotional and was completely overwhelmed. I checked Yelp for a Moving company in Syracuse and ran across First Class Moving and Removal, as we not only needed her belongings moved to a storage unit, but needed all the junk-type stuff taken to the dump. I saw a picture of Shaun and his crew next to a meticulously blanket-covered and wrapped piece of furniture and immediately felt this was a company that truly CARED about people's things and was willing to demonstrate that instead of just making idle boasts. I spoke with Shaun on the phone (I was orchestrating this whole thing from California) and found him to be professional, courteous, and understanding of the need for a kind and helpful approach to this very emotionally charged situation. My sister is elderly and since I couldn't be there in person to oversee the packing and move, I had to rely on trusting my gut from not much more than a few phone calls and texts to get this started. Long story short, Shaun and his crewmember did a FANTASTIC job on all levels. The furniture was completely blanketed and wrapped, the items that were not quite packed were taken care of, and ALL the junk went quickly to the dump. They took pics of the whole process, the packed truck, and the filled storage unit, keeping me updated all along the way. My sister felt safe, supported, and acknowledged. The price was exceptional for what they had to do. They moved quickly to keep the time down and didn't even take a break until it was all done. THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL YOUND BUSINESS and I would recommend them to anyone. This level of professionalism, integrity, and above all, caring is beyond rare. This young man and his company will go far. I can't recommend them enough.

Kudos to a careful and conscientious moving service. Great respect shown for all of my items and care taken not to damage them. Movers showed up promptly at the pre-arranged time, and leading up to the move, there were several communications to guarantee time of the meeting and the plan. Upfront communication of pricing, expected services to be provided. Nate was always immediately available by either text or phone. I plan on using this company again when I move away from the Syracuse area as part of a planned move in 2018. While I did see other moving companies online with competitive rates, the difference in price was small and the service rendered by this company would be hard to beat. Very pleased with no regrets on this transaction.

The crew was personable and clearly had work ethic and rapport with one another. After a truck trouble delay (not their fault) the 4 guys got right to work with Nate directing the furniture/box Tetris. They respected my belongings (wrapping delicate pieces and watching tight spots) and didn't complain about the stairs or heavy-ass Peloton bike. Loading up always takes longer but the team powered through and emptied the truck quickly at our destination. They even took a moment to celebrate my awesome new basement. Nate quoted me on the high end and came in under budget (which I appreciate much more than the reverse situation!). Have already recommended Mountain Movers to my network.

They also called me the morning of my move to let me know the team would be late, though it was within a reasonable time frame. Once on site they assessed what they had to move and then kept one person at the truck to direct the loading while the rest of the team got to work. I lived on a third floor walk up with weird corners and had some heavy furniture to move, such as a pull out bed couch. They handled what I had thought were hard or heavy things with ease. Talking to the team I learned one of the guys had been a mover for 40 years! Talk about experienced! They were used to moving multi-room large houses with much heavier items. The load out was the longest part of my move and load in went fast. Price-wise compared to other companies I looked at they were among the most reasonable. They base their estimates off of time and the final move cost was true to my quote.

Where do I begin? when they picked up our entire life/home…read morefurniture they seemed great.... so great we gave them all a good tip, fed them and kept water cold in the fridge for them the entire day. Then the nightmare began... for starters, they brought the wrong size truck to begin with and couldn't fit our belongings and had to come back with another truck the next day. We shrugged that off because- hey mistakes happen. We began our decent a week later to SC and it was agreed that they would store our things and drive it down on our move in day. we got a call at about 1030 pm the night prior that one of the trucks wouldn't start and they could not deliver our things.. mixed messages and lies about that for two days.. the owner didn't even call us himself but made the employee call us. two days later after arguing with the owner to find a solution as he doesn't have his own trucks...or things arrived in SC- half missing, half mangled! Ripped sectional (huge expensive sectional ruined), broken tables, dented stainless steel fridge, nicked furniture everywhere, missing items (too many to list), boxes full of broken things (and I bubble wrapped the h*** out of the things, boxes marked fragile stacked so high they were like the leaning tower of Pisa, I could literally go on and on... the workers didn't even unwrap items or put them where we wanted them. They just ate our food drank our water and didn't care. THEN- the truck broke down in our driveway and we had to help them fix it to get it out of there. Workers had no tools with them even though part of the $$ is reassembly, so- they helped themselves to ours! Mind blown. If it were up to me I wouldn't have paid them anything! Lucky for the owner my bf insisted because the owner imo is way over his head with zero clue how to operate a business. PS the owner told us while we were inquiring about when our stuff would arrive that he thinks "the competition is trying to sabotage him because things have been missing from the warehouse.." ummmm you're doing a pretty good job of sabotaging yourself JR!
