Libre daw ang mangarap. So when I attended my first wedding expo, I did not shut off Juan Carlo the Caterer immediately despite their reputation as the prime caterer for celebrity events and weddings. But even sinful pleasures have their secret attraction. Although I am normally a penny wise or value for money type of person, I slowed down for a while and did not hurry to walk farther away from the booth.
One agent must have noticed my uncertainty and she politely asked me, "Ma'am, gusto po ba nilang malaman ang packages namin?" And she added the clinching statement, "No commitment po." Thus liberated, my fiancé and I walked along with the agent who offered us seats at her agent's table.
The agent's manner was friendly and welcoming that days after I still remember her name, Jona Reforma. There was composure and professionalism in her presentation of their packages. She gave us her full attention and spoke calmly without any sense of hurry. She also explained to us how the set up by Juan Carlo would look like. It crossed my mind how these qualities that I was admiring would be extended to the actual execution of their catering service come the day of the event.
As far as the menu is concerned, it was clear as day that this caterer was top-notch. Their entrees will make you feel like you are facing a buffet table in a five star hotel: German Style Roast Chicken with Rosemary, Tarragon, Thymes and Basil; Roast Pork with Prunes and Walnuts; Callos Ala Madrilena; Pasta Primavera with Zucchini, Salami and Clams; and Norwegian Pink Salmon with Tequila Cream Sauce to name a few. They also offer not just one appetizer but at least two and not just one salad but a salad bar which includes several ready-made salads and a buffet of country greens with different dressings.
If I were in dreamland, I would book Juan Carlo. But, this is reality and that's a different story. read more
