This place is AMAZING! I am so happy we came here. A coworker and I were staying in Orange for the night and this place came up when I was searching for some quality Cajun food. This place said not disappoint! We came during happy hour, and the prices were even better than normal pricing! The staff was wonderful and super helpful. I ordered the boudin balls (6 for $3 on HH) and the BBQ Crabs (5 with two sides). My coworker ordered the sausage and chicken gumbo. We each had a glass of wine ($3 on HH). We each chose the salad bar as one of our sides and it had so many options! I probably could have filled up on it alone. The food came quickly and was amazing. This is $6.00 worth of shrimp (black container). I ordered 2 grilled shrimp salads. Through door dash. They sent out two clear containers of shrimp, plus the salad greens and dressings. In one container there was 5 shrimp. In the second container 7 shrimp. I paid $ 3.00 extra for each salad to have extra shrimp. I called and complained that 12 small shrimp for two salads was not enough considering I paid for extra shrimp. I explained that I paid an extra $6.00. They sent the black container with 5 extra shrimp! I would say that is ridiculous! I have ordered theses salads before and they had more shrimp than this even without ordering extra shrimp. Judices's was one of the first restaurants we visited when we were considering moving to Bridge City ... we were blown away by the delicious, "slap 'yo Mamma" fresh, savory seafood, as well as the incredible, friendly customer service. Shrimp so big, juicy, and fresh you'd swear it snapped alive on your mouth when you bit into the delectable seasoned coating, and fried oysters that I had to hold on my tongue to let it melt in my mouth ... it was the most delicious oyster po' boy sandwich ever! Food was not good i ordered BBQ Crabs but when they order came to me they were Fried and way over done the Crab Meat was like mush... I told the waitress they served me Fried Crabs when I asked for BBQ she stated this is what they mean by BBQ.... My last day in Orange Texas and I had still not tried any Cajun seafood. This place came highly recommended by the locals, so here I am. What a treat! It was packed by 11:30 for lunch, so we got our orders to go. Since I have never eaten this before, I spoke with the waitress and she gave me some suggestions. I decided on their three appetizer combo so I could try a couple items, along with a few other items to go. She suggested the jalapeno ranch dressing, so we added a few of those also. The wait wasn't that long, and besides, it gave me a chance to chat with some of the locals. Everyone is so friendly here! We got our orders and headed home to eat them. First of all, when we got it home and unpacked, they got it exactly right. Very nice! I sat down to eat and everything was as delicious as she promised! My father-in-law got the hamburger and onion rings because he doesn't like seafood. He enjoyed it ( we got it dry and I brought some secret sauce from his favorite place in El Paso, Charcoalers, so he was happy as a clam.). We got the order of three Pistolettes with Etouffee to share. They come with a red sauce, which I loved, but my mother-in-law prefers a cheese sauce, so she didn't like them as much. They were very yummy! I got the crab cake with a remoulade sauce, which was delicious (Although sad it only came with one), the spicy boudin balls (came with three, and you can get them not spicy, if you so desire) that were really good. My third choice was a Pistolette with Boudin. It was excellent. I think it was my favorite! My mother-in-law got the combo basket with onion rings, fried oysters and fried shrimp. I tried them all and loved them! Oysters are not my favorite, but these were really good, especially with their spicy jalapeno ranch and their cocktail sauce. read more

We stumbled upon this restaurant after taking a wrong turn that brought us through Bridge City. My husband and I both had the seafood platter which included fish and shrimp. Both were excellent. You could actually taste how fresh the seafood was. The breading had a great crunch. The hush puppies had a slight sweetness to them. I've never been so happy for a wrong turn. read more

We so badly wanted this place to stand up to expectations for good, local Cajun seafood unfortunately, it falls short of the two places we hold up as the "gold standard" and that is The Farm Royal (formerly in Port Arthur but sadly now closed) and Sartins in Nederland. The gumbo was ok but not great (why can't anyone get the roux burned just the right amount) and the fried shrimp and oysters we good but again, not great. On the plus side the portions are quite large (so bring an appetite) and the value is good. The place was also extremely busy and only had two wait staff so I will forgive some lapses in service. It's a full house (I guess they get crowded for Happy Hour?) slower service since it's packed,but the 2 waitresses that were working are nice and friendly. First, I will start by saying that i go there a couple of time a month. This particular time I was in shock. After ordering over $160 in food for our anniversary dinner, i picked up a crab and opened it. To my surprise the smell almost made me throw up. It was horrible and smelled of ammonia. I know they had to have known that seafood was bad. My husband asked me not to say anything so not to ruin the night. So I ordered something else. The waitress saw that we were not eating the pile of crab and boxed it to go. When I tell you, three miles on the highway, we had to exit and throw it away, it smelled so bad. I drive out of my way on a recommendation from a co-worker. One of the best decisions I made while in the area. The food was simply phenomenal. I had the appetizer sampler with boudin balls, crab cakes and pistolettes. I followed that up with boiled shrimp. When I say that the boudin was some of the best I've had, I mean it's some of the best. Not the ricey kind, but the kind with that flavor that just jumps out at you! The crab cakes were great, full of flavor that accentuated the crab meat. Pistolettes, never had em til now, gonna get every opportunity because they were that good. I'm local so I eat here about three or four times a week, breakfast and dinner. Authentic Cajun classics are awesome, grilled, fried or blackened, but don't let that get in the way of having a big ol' steak because it's great, with onions and potatoes and a spectacular red wine reduction. It's legitimate Cajun cuisine with good service in a comfortable setting. I'm glad I live close by. Edit: my previous review was a couple years old I've dropped it to three stars , which might be generous, my last few trips there have been regretful, crawfish were terrible tasting from being grossly overcooked and therefore nearly impossible to peel, the bread pudding was burnt(and the wait staff knew that and served it ANYWAY, my latest trip ;the crab dip which used to be amazing served chilled is now hot and comes with melted cheddar (so Cajun?) which makes it taste like a tuna melt, I ordered the trio combo all grilled and the fish and shrimp were barely legal to be called cooked and the fries were literally soggy. The owner has opened another restaurant nearby and his absence at this location is notable I'm local so I've given them the latitude of an "off day" but I'd say it's off my list of dining choices here in town. We found this little gem about a year ago and stop every time we go to the casino, the food has always been good and the prices very reasonable. I always order the Pick Three, $8.99, and you get a choice of 3 sample size appetizers. I always order a pistolette, a Cajun delight (a boudain ball with shrimp etouffe) and the crab dip, which is made with fresh crab meat and served warm with fresh pita chips. Wonderful... my husband orders fish or shrimp basket which came with homemade fries (his favorite). A few months ago, they quit serving homemade fries and went to frozen. Today we made our usual stop and much to our dismay, the prices had increased. I understand as everything is increasing in price but my usual $9 meal was now $12 and everything on the menu increased $3 to $4 or more! Quite a price increase. Don't know it affected their business but there always plenty of customers and today not so much. The food is is good but we definitely had sticker shock! read more

This place has the best taste of Creole in the Orange/Bridge City area for sure... actually it's prolly the only Cajun style till you get to Groves or Beaumont, besides the point. The executive chef here is a restaurateur from Maine. As the other reviewer noted the gumbo was so severely watered down or not cooked correctly that it didn't taste like much of anything at all. The pistolettes weren't true pistolettes, merely some biscuits fried with étouffée on top. The étouffée was short on crawfish and long on disappointment.
