I told them that I was looking for an accountant for help with my quarterlies and various things, but that I would be doing the majority of my accounting through Quickbooks. I asked about seeing what services they could provide me and I was told that all the accountants were in a Webinar and they could not get to give me a service consultation until next week. On Monday in fact. Today is Tuesday, so 6 more days and i could discuss their services. So I gave my name and phone number and left..so far so good, sort of..Ok the firm itself is an Endorsed Local Provider (ELP) of Dave Ramsey. I am a big fan of Dave Ramsey and his principals. I just received a call from the CPA office, a mere TWO hours after I left and they confirmed that the appointment was still on for 9 am Monday, HOWEVER, they would charge me a $150 dollar fee just to talk to a CPA to see what the costs of their services are and if I even would consider them as a provider. Any business that will charge a person to just walk in ask them what their services are and what the cost would be is just plain crazy. There are Lawyers, Doctors, all kinds of business' that give out free consultations. I only wanted to know what their costs were, but they are asking me to pay $150 for that, that is ridiculous. My advice, is to stay away from this place,, If I could give it zero stars I would. I am also contacting Ramsey Business Solutions and inform them about these practices from one of his ELP's.

When the 2014 taxes were completed we were advised we were getting several thousand back from the government. We questioned this twice and were assured the taxes were correct. After all, this is why we hire a CPA. Due to poor customer service, we decided to part ways before the next tax season. In 2015, our new accountant discovered an error on our 2014 taxes. We had to pay unexpectedly several thousand, as well as interest, for the 2014 tax amendment. Now being 2015, this came as a huge surprise as we thought our 2014 taxes were correct. In short, the IRA's had not been reported correctly in 2014. The explanation I received from Riggs & Associates was that their tax preparation software does not work well with the forms when completing IRA's. Very concerning. Because of the above, we did not allow Riggs & Associates to complete the amendment for 2014. I asked for our 2014 tax preparation fee to be reimbursed. Riggs & Associates refused as they stated the work had been done even if it was incorrect. However, Riggs & Associates agreed to pay any penalties we received. Upon receiving a letter from the IRS requesting interest be paid, which I thought was a penalty, I sent this to Riggs & Associates. When I received a phone call back regarding this, I was advised this was interest and not a penalty. To me, a penalty would be anything additionally owed. Furthermore, I was told I had some nerve to call and ask for help after giving a one star review on Facebook from the above experience. I stood by my review. Riggs & Associates agreed to pay only half of the interest. The customer service and play on words confirmed our decision to use a different accountant. The ability to review on Facebook has since been disabled on their page and reviews can no longer be seen.

I had used this CPA for a number of years to prepare my family's state/fed tax returns. Each year…read morethe fee for preparation appeared to go higher, and higher until the fee hit an amount that I felt was over what a small business would be charged. We had significant medical expenses starting in 2013.. And the fee was simply too high.... for the 2013 & 2014 I purchased tax software to complete our taxes. For the 2015 return I was simply too ill fighting a terminal illness to prepare the return so I contacted him to complete/file the return-- due to my illness it was a challenge to pull together all the documents... But I did so & dropped them off 1 week prior to the deadline. I anticipated he would have to file an extension & he did so stating he would have the returns ready in 2-3 weeks. Due to my delay in getting the documents ready I understood this... We waited 3 weeks, no call to let us know they were done... Then 4 weeks, not a word. We called on the 5th week and he said he had not even looked at our information. He then informed us he was not going to work on our taxes & for us to come pick up our documents. No reason was given...When asked if he could refer us to someone that could complete them at a reasonable cost ... He said, No I can't think of anyone and if so they would charge more than him. I purchased tax software & had the taxes complete & filed in 48 hours. Saving $300 in prep cost. So if you do business with this guy - good luck he might get your return filed on deadline- if you stop using him stay away. If you are looking for someone I'd advise looking elsewhere!

Don't use Tim Fulmer CPA! I brought my taxes in and reviewed them with Tim Fulmer in person on…read more2-14-17. He committed to having our taxes done by the following week (no later than the 24th). We have checked in with him a few times and he has been very non-committal as to when he would get to our taxes done. He already filled 1 extension for a initial deadline with the state of Arkansas in March. Should have never needed this extension if he had kept his commitment in the first place. Tim has been very short with us and rude over the past 42 days that we have stood by and waited for them to be completed. Today my husband stopped in to see if there was any progress or update on our taxes. We wanted to make sure that we had not done anything wrong or perhaps owe him money? We have been treated SO POORLY through the whole experience! Tim started yelling and shouting that he would get to the taxes whatever he got around to it whether it was before or after April 15th...it did not matter to him. And, "if you don't like that, you can take your taxes elsewhere". And so we have. In fact, we have called a large number of CPA firm and writer and it is very standard for a CPA to get us a time crunch. "Taxes will be done in two weeks, three weeks, four weeks., etc." with every CPA that we have talked to it is standard to make the absolute longest it would take you to get to that person's taxes and not to fail that deadline. Tim Fulmer has not only failed the initial deadline that he gave us, he refused to ever give us a second deadline and has failed repeatedly to give us common courtesy and fair and equal treatment. We are small business owners and whether somebody makes a purchase of five dollars or $100 from us they will always receive fair treatment and kindness. Shop around folks, this town has lots of options and you don't have to get a second rate treatment either!
