Farmers Insurance - Shelley Parson

Farmers Insurance - Shelley Parson

We have our home, auto and motorcycle (Goldwing) insured through Shelley and her team…read more Unfortunately, an uninsured motorist hit us with his work vehicle when we were on the Goldwing and this office worked tirelessly to attempt to track the driver and his employer down and get some funds to do the needed repairs. Needless to say, he did not ever pay up. But through it all, Shelly's team remained professional, and very compassionate and understanding with us. When my mother moved down here from another state there was no question who we were going to suggest for her to get insurance with!

Avoid This Agency - Five Years of Loyalty for a $0 Payout…read more I have been a loyal policyholder with Shelley Parson for the last 5 years, watching my premiums steadily climb year after year. I recently had to file my very first roof claim, only to find out they dated my roof at 44 years old in their system. When I originally took out this policy, I explicitly told Shelley that the roof was 10 to 12 years old, exactly as my professional home inspector had verified. Because of their massive dating error, depreciation and an insanely high deductible kicked in, leaving me with absolutely zero money to help with the replacement. To make matters worse, the customer service has been insulting: The Audacity: Shelley actually told me that once I pay out of pocket to replace the roof myself, I should "be sure to let them know" so they can cover it moving forward. The absolute gall. The Brush-off: She claimed she would "look through her records" to see if I ever followed up with proof of the roof's age 5 years ago. We all know how that goes. Because of this pending claim mess, I feel stuck with her for the moment while she continues to pocket my rising premiums. Do yourself a favor and find an agent who actually keeps accurate records and protects your investment when it counts.

Roger Clark - State Farm Insurance Agent - State Farm Agent

Roger Clark - State Farm Insurance Agent

My experience today with Sylvia Munguia at Roger Clark State Farm when I attempted to renew my Auto…read moreinsurance that had lapsed in June due to a lack of income and divorce. The agent ran my credit without my knowledge or consent and I was disqualified because of my credit score. Although I had been a loyal multi policy holder for 7 years. The agent I joined with 7 years ago was amazing and always looked out for my best interest. Since her retirement the new agent had proven to be lacking in what I had come to expect from a big name insurance company. Her attention to members is more what I would expect from Geico or The General. Below is my account and the email I sent to the agent: It was Sept of 2011 when I joined your company. I want to point out a few items that may help you in future relationships with your members.  - I never authorized you to run a credit check. As I walked into your office today I received a notification from credit karma that my credit had just went down 2 points due to an inquiry from your company.  - as part of your credit report you provided me, it clearly says "if your credit history was adversely influenced by certain life events illness or injury, death of an immediate family member, temporary loss of employment, DIVORCE, or identity theft, please talk to me about requesting an additional review of your information ". I qualify for this review due to the item listed in CAPS.  - I never received any correspondence from you regarding the option to suspend my account rather than taking a cancelation. If that had been made available to me I would have gladly taken it. Why wouldn't I have? No looking out for my best interest. Just taking my payments is something any insurance company can do. Not what I'd been expecting from "State Farm". - my credit score was 674 3 months ago. It's taken a dive over the past 3 months due to the divorce. Would have been enough to get insurance through your company. My tenure apparently means nothing. I had the funds to pay an entire 6mo. Why would my credit mean anything if I pay in advance? - I didn't feel like you showed any compassion for the situation. Not how I would expect an Agent to treat a long standing member. - years ago I called about a crack that appeared during defrosting my windshield during winter and you informed me that I wasn't covered for this. I asked what it would have taken to have had coverage for "acts of God" and you informed me that it would have been a $2 increase per month charge..... As an afterthought, where was my "discount double check" to ensure that I had all of the coverage I needed? I would have gladly paid an additional $2 to have truly been "fully covered" in my full coverage insurance I had through your company.  If you are looking for a place to pay for an insurance card without any personal relationship then this is your place... If you want to be treated as a member, have an Agent look out for your best interest to protect you from the unknown... I'd recommend searching for another location.

Well imagine my surprise when I receive a letter informing me that my insurance is being canceled…read moreafter using the same agent for TWENTY YEARS! From the day I got my license! What happened? I let them know I had moved.. Apparently they sent me A LETTER letting me know I needed to see a new agent.. I never got this letter they made no other attempts to contact me, I've had the same number for 8 years what can I say I'm a loyal customer! Unfortunately Statefarm turns out to not be nearly so loyal and flushed a 20 year relationship without a care! Wondered why I couldn't pay my bill online.. Now I know! Beware! I never had an accident either but my husband was rear ended by another Roger Clark customer a few months back.. And after sending us a settlement check that we signed off on they called and tried to say we'd have to pay it back.. They quickly changed their tune when we told them he only stopped seeing the chiropractor because we moved but wasnt released.. Makes me curious if the two incidents are related somehow. Never had any issues with them prior but GOODBYE STATEFARM I WON'T BE BACK!
