We purchased a new home in the Bridgewater Community in Little River, SC last year. (2023). We love it. We have had a couple of minor issues which were covered under the warranty--which were fixed right away. We hired our own inspector before we closed on the house, but there were only a few minor issues that were corrected before we moved in. After dealing with another major builder for almost a year before giving up--Chesapeake homes was a breath of fresh air. Most home buyers are under the false impression that county, state, or local officials inspect new communities to make sure they are up to snuff. Not True. They inspect the electrical, plumbing, and safety issues--that's all. Most builders have only their own employees perform the inspections--like the company that inspected their own submersible diving down to the Titanic. I could find none of the issues with our Chesapeake home in Bridgewater, and I would recommend Bridgewater to my friends and family. If you want to be more informed about builders before you purchase a home and know more about what to look for, I would recommend you locate and watch the best video I've ever come across in my research entitled "Pulte's Deplorable Orlando Homes, by actual home-owner Harry Whitman. I foud it on YouTube and Yelp. You can also try Face book Pulte's Deplorable Orlando Homes.. read more
