Their very warm, welcoming, unpretentious, and professional initial consultations separated them from the other clinics I spoke with. Before I entered the clinic in person I already had a rapport with a staff member who was a phenomenal guide. I was elated to see that the rooms were made perfectly to provide a comfortable and serene environment (Like, they seemingly hired a psychedelic interior designer/therapist with the goal and experience to create blissful and beautiful surroundings). The guides and the medical staff are all top notch and EVERYONE there is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, professional, and invested into their client's direct and long-lasting wellbeing. I would have been happy with the experience from a strictly medical (I.E. the infusion itself, direct monitoring, and after care), that combined with their invaluable and integral therapeutic services set CIT into a different level than other clinics (I've spoken with friends and family about other clinics and they were impressed and envious of the level of care I received). I have struggled with anxiety and depression for all of my adult life and ketamine therapy with CIT has been much, much more beneficial for my mental health than years of trying a plethora of different psychiatric medications and traditional therapy. This review is being written eight months after my initial sessions and I'm planning on returning to CIT for another one.  One of the things that made me hesitant to try ketamine therapy was my history of having many "bad trips" with prior psychedelic experiences. I sought out ketamine therapy for my anxiety and depression and to work on personal issues (PTSD, grieving the recent loss of a family member, social anxiety, etc.) so the thought of having a psychedelic experience was slightly unnerving considering past trips I have had. The infusion method of administration is great for a individualized doses and provides the benefit of being able to increase dosage during your session. The medical staff was amazing and compassionate and were able to help with emotional state and every time it began to feel overwhelming (I requested higher dosages after the initial infusion) but the guides themselves were stellar in helping me navigate any level of anxiety I had and always brought me back to a calm state and truly made my sessions not only therapeutically beneficial but actually enjoyable.  CIT is a wonderful clinic and highly recommend them to anyone interested in ketamine therapy.

Your group leader was obviously tired and negatively…read moreappraised/commented our group as curiosity seekers, "no takers" and "only there for the meal," from just about the outset of his presentation. He never gave the cost of the "special" infusion that was being offered in my area until pressed, and after all had left but three of us. Unfortunately for him, I had advanced information and experience regarding similar procedures being done worldwide, in Mexico, Panama, the Caribbean, Germany, Eastern Europe, etc. Rather than welcoming the depth and breadth of my research, information, and experience, the poor soul found it necessary to bestow a negative evaluation of my experience and research...and me. Strange as it may seem, he found it necessary to call me on under a pretense to find out my identity. I vote to give the seminar leader a vacation!

I have more issues than Sports Illustrated. Thankfully, there are people in this world like Dr…read more Kirschner. She has helped me tremendously in the past year since I started seeing her. Dr. Kirschner is the first psychiatrist I've felt comfortable seeing for more than a few sessions, and I am positive that her support has made, and continues to make, a difference in my life (and, by extension, that of my family). She is *incredibly* insightful; this alone is worth "the price of admission". Yes, I'm admitting on a public website that I see a psychiatrist. (Whoop-dee-doo!) I might not normally do so, but Dr. Kirschner deserves accolades. And really, folks: we all have issues. If you're keen on tackling yours one way or another and could use some expert help, give Dr. Kirschner a try. My life is better for having met her.

An artist pursues their expression, through whatever modality, because something inside of them desires to be known, heard, make connections and spark feelings in others. This expression is not unlike the patient in therapy. There are parts of the self that want to be recognized and connected with. This is not always an easy process. There may be blocks both creatively and/or psychically keeping the artist/patient from allowing these parts to be known and understood.

I had been to therapy before, but not for such a prolonged amount of time. Dr. Brown has been an integral part of my emotional and spiritual recovery. She is warm, focused, and invested in her patients' healing. She uses EMDR which is necessary/helpful when dealing with trauma. It can be a frightening process, but helps get to the heart of what's causing the trauma. I always felt safe in her care, and would recommend her to anyone looking for some really deep therapy. A couple things to note: be sure to review her cancellation policy. And she did not accept my insurance, so treatment can hit your wallet pretty hard. But it's worth it.
