Jason advised this was not possible as I would need to go in for a consultation - I advised that I understand that, but because I had already seen the Dr and been provided with a script - could be please ask a Dr and he was not even willing to ask - he told me he just wouldn't. Now I understand there are policies in place but had Jason just showed some decent curiosity and asked a simple question to a Dr I would of felt "heard" - especially when I'm clearly feeling stressed over my bag being stolen. Jason, buddy, you have really made what I consider a constant joy of a Drs surgery to attend - into a negative experience that I will not forget anytime soon.

They are really overpriced and don't provide a good service. They don't offer EMLA cream in the treatments - you have to go out and buy it yourself from a chemist if you want it. For a clinic that charges twice what other places do, you would think they would include it in the price, but they don't because they are rubbish. Same with dressings - they might sticky tape cotton pads to your skin after your treatment (but don't count on it - at times I had to specifically ask for something to cover my skin which was bleeding). If you want proper dressings and medical tape you will need to purchase them yourself from a chemist. They also do not cleanse the area before treating it. You are expected to clean your own skin with the products in the treatment room, or request a practitioner assist you. I now go to True Skin Laser Clinic on Liverpool St. They use the exact same Q-switch laser, and the staff are a lot more qualified (they are nurses). Their treatments are better and the cost is less than 50% of what City Laser clinic will charge you (and True Skin includes numbing cream, cleansing, post-treatment balm and proper dressings.) Oh - and if you try to pay with a card (not cash) City Laser Clinic will charge you a 3% surcharge. Just the cherry on top.

The office is outdated, drab and a little sad, but I was welcomed by a lovely lady at the front desk who checked me in and also happened to be my facialist? I was immediately put at ease. We had a lovely conversation while she diamond busted my face. She was extremely knowledgable about all types of skin problems and won me over with her history treating conditions with natural therapies and oils. I was a little uncomfortable when left alone-the room was quite cold and a little bare. Some fresh new paint, a decluttering and some modern fixtures would give millennium clinic another star. I have one more microdermabrasion so I'll update next time.

In my mind, surgery is a last resort and I've been on a tour of conservative treatments from physiotherapy to massage and more so I'm no stranger to Chinese medicine or acupuncture. My pain had been under control and I was doing well until a recent flare up landed me in the ER 4 days before our scheduled trip to Sydney (from NYC). Determined not to miss our friends' wedding despite my husband's logical concerns, I stubbornly decided to move forward with our trip. Before leaving the states, I got an (my first) epidural that worked on my lower back but left my sciatica screaming. When we landed in Sydney, I was DESPERATE for relief after not sleeping for over a week. The first acupuncturist I found (NOT Vinko) was very nice but seemed to make things worse. The next day, I found Vinko and was grateful that the holidays left him with availability and he could see me that same day. After asking me a series of questions and patiently listening to me, he did a combination of gua sha and acupuncture on me and AAAAHHH. Finally some relief. I felt mild discomfort instead of utter misery for the first time in days. Throughout our trip, I saw Vinko 3 more times and he helped me feel progressively better... and became almost like a trusted friend to us. His bedside manner is remarkable, his knowledge unmatched, and he truly cares about his patients healing... that much is clear. There was no upsell or disingenuous humble bragging. He made it possible for me to not only get through but actually enjoy my trip. I am forever grateful to Vinko and he will always stand out as one of the best practitioners, professionals and human beings I have met. If you're in Sydney, run don't walk to see him!!!
