I am glad I chose Aaron Myers and his team at Big Tree Pros Tree Service. We discussed availability and proving he had insurance, (I called the broker to verify & they did so cautiously as I would expect), He sent me a picture of his policy. He bid and I folded in with the others. Before i could evaluate all bids he re-contacted me to sweeten the deal, He wanted this work for his team. I awarded him the job. When finished during inspection he offered add on services if i was interested and we negotiated. He took out two additional tree stumps very reasonably. This is a serious business man and his team, Joe & Princeton, were safe, careful, quick, on time early and called me 30 minutes prior so I could zip by from work to start them and then inspect the result.. They offered me a "day early option", even better, so i took it. The cuts were angled & above the collar of the branch. He balanced the tree even with the branch I wanted to leave that was abnormal. I am pleased to recommend Aaron Meyers and Big Tree Pros tree service as a reasonable professional big tree & landscaping solution. That was a week ago. Never heard back and no one showed up. Guess I will try one more time. Update... Called back and spoke to a new lady who was apologetic for the flakiness. Brandon came out for our scheduled appointment and was very friendly and had helpful info on our queen palms. We are going to wait and see how they do over the summer. He even attempted to take a small one up for us. On the phone, they said it would be $100 for the evaluation fee and ended up being charged an extra $3 for a "convenience processing fee" plus tax for a total of $111.25. Not that it is a huge amount extra, but it would have been nice if that was stated up front. Overall, I would deal with them again and see how things go.

He stated he forgot his card reader and would bring it tomorrow. He then stated via text that he was only accepting zelle. When I showed him our conversation via email of the payment, he said he didnt remember the conversation that was clearly in email. I asked them to stop the work and leave all the caulking and power washing behind since I paid for it. Im not sure why they told my friend that I stopped the work. He doesnt own this home and has no say so on what projects I pay for at my home. Overall, they did a good job of what was actually finished but unfortunately, I dont like people that lie or "conveniently get amnesia." As much as I like to support small businesses, this was an upset for me.

He cashed the check immediately, came back for his equipment, said he would return on Monday and never came back. His card claims "20 years experience" and his truck claim expertise in root blocking - don't believe anything you read about Lazaro unless it's %$&#@& criminal record.

He said he let me know when he had a date to come and trim. A few days later my door bell rings and two guys are outside saying they are here to trim my tree. Usually I am at work but happen to be off work that day for an appointment. So they set up and ask how much I was quoted and I tell them 550.00 and then they say that can't do it for 550.00, that they need 700.00 instead and that the owner gave too low of a price. So they are here and I want my tree cut so I agree to just eat the price because I don't want to wait any longer. Usually when my tree is trimmed by other companies, they climb the tree, and tie a rope to the branch they are cutting and throw the rope over an adjacent branch so the branch swings away from the house or trimmer then they lower it down. this was not the case with Mason Trees. Instead they just used a chainsaw on a long pole, never thinning out those top branches. Wait, it gets better - the kid cuts off a huge branch from over my garage, the branch punches a huge hole in my siding over my garage door. and the kid is like, no problem I can patch that to look brand new... A week passes and the kid never comes back to patch the hole so I had to call the owner. He sends the kid over and he fills the hole with some foam, then never comes back. Call the owner again and he sends the kid over again and he puts some more foam and promises to come the next day, 3 days later I call the owner again and again and again. After a month of this I ask for his insurance and he says it would be cheaper to just pay someone, so I agree but need to hear something from somebody, after 3 days of nothing I call him again - and he sends the kid back out to my house to try to patch it up. I finally send the kid away and call is insurance, now 3 weeks later his insurance has not done diddly squat so now have to bring it to the courts. If I can get the courts to force Mason Tree to fix my house and I am compensated for loss of pleasure then I will finally get some closure. See the photo of their wonderful patch job !!!
