When I questioned him about the $5 increase, he said he was actually going to charge me $40 but took money off b/c there was a mixup on getting back to me about when the jeans were done. He said he was going to charge more b/c the seamstress matched the color of the thread on the hem to the stitching already on the jeans. I thought a seamstress would have basic colors available for their work. This wasn't an unusual color of thread. The actual job done was fine but I wasn't pleased with the hiked price and having to keep calling to see when my jeans would be done. I won't be going back.

Just looking at it, she was able to tell me exactly where more structure was needed for a better fit & made it fit like a glove. Overall, she added boning around the bodice, sewed bra cups into the dress under the lining, hemmed it, added a bustle, and made the slit higher to accommodate my height. Easy parking and no big line or anything to worry about. I just needed a pair of jeans altered by making the legs a few inches shorter. Easy alteration ... plus I suck at sewing! Reasonable pricing and wait time. They are easy to communicate with and are clear on the service requested. Pavel got back to us, indicating that the warranty was set to expire in under a week. He did all the footwork to see if we could get a replacement part, as I couldn't find any of the warranty docs. The manufacturer stated that they didn't make those parts any longer. Pavel was able to negotiate an entire replacement before the expiration. Oh my goodness! His customer service skills are awesome. He is trustworthy. We are lucky to have his business and what he brings to our downtown area. We'll be loyal customers!
