No one really looks forward to dental work or any kind of dental surgery. In my case, a previous…read moregeneral dentist really messed up one of my teeth...bad crown placement at least 3 times.... therefore 10+ years later I was in the situation needing a crown lengthening procedure. My surgery was yesterday morning and boy am I glad it's over...BUT, I want to give this establishment some major praise. Dr. Cote is really a godsend. I'm so glad my current dentist refers her patients to Dr. Cote for periodontal work. His bedside manner is what every patient needs and dreams of. Every person I have talked to in this office has been so pleasant and helpful...from the front desk with Billy & Trina, to Dr. Cote's assistant, Deb. I arrived at my scheduled appointment time and I was called back shortly after. The doctor thoroughly briefed me on what would be happening that morning and outlined the post op procedures and was patient with me with additional questions I had. I chose to stay awake during the process. Dr. Cote gently numbed me up with multiple shots of Novocain (this process was truly the most "pleasant" numbing situation I've ever experienced...usually this is the PITS). During the surgery, he talked me through of what he was doing and what I would be feeling with the different instruments going into my mouth. His assistant, Deb, was spectacular. She had the air suction going the whole time and suctioning excess liquid at the right spots the entire duration. This duo was exceptionally clean and truly masterful at their jobs. Not once did water or anything else splash up into my face. Previous experiences at dental establishments, I recall having water running down the side of my face onto my clothes...and debris splashing up onto my face. If you ever need periodontal work done and happen to get referred to this place, you are in the BEST hands. The doctor gave me a ring last night just to make sure I was doing okay. That's world class service right there.

I have had several procedures with him now and trust him. His staff is great as well - nice, dedicated, friendly and happy - something seldom seen in a physician practice these days. I would highly recommend his services to anyone in need.

They told me this is their procedure but I think it is a way of getting more money for one who on Medicare and Social Security. Not good !

Walking into the reception area, experienced easy check-in and quick filling up of the new patient paperwork. Did notice that the waiting room did not have any self-beverage amenities like water or coffee or tea (which is why have reduced a star) but the seats were so comfy, I actually had a little snooze! My appointment time was 1:30 and I was called in within 5 mins of that time, so they were fairly prompt. The nurse who took my blood pressure and explained the process was a wonderful person by the name of Patty and she was AWESOME! What impressed me the most was that she explained everything so well, and she probably has to run thru this same spiel umpteen times a day, but honestly you wouldn't know that cause she was so attentive! After the consult and the options were explained to me, I made a decision on the procedure, and was straightaway next directed to the office Mgr for payment. Then went back to the waiting room and was called a few minutes later and headed into surgery. My actual surgery was so quick and painless! I was honestly amazed at the dexterity with which Dr Garfinkel removed the tooth, I couldn't believe it was all done in 5 minutes! Patty then gave me detailed post-op instructions and 2.5 hours later I was headed home. It was a very good overall experience and apart from the lack of beverages availability, I didn't experience any other issues. Would absolutely recommend and suggest asking for Patty. Yelp 139 /2018

Before coming to this hospital in person for a PET Scan, I first scheduled an appointment through…read morethe imaging department. This hospital is located in Altamonte Springs, FL, which is a 54 minute drive from my house. When I left to go to this appointment on July 16th, 2026, I was not aware that this was an appointment that I needed to fast for. I'm certain that they must have told me that I needed to fast for appointment when they initially called me for scheduling, but I just didn't remember. I do remembered them telling me that the PET Scan would take 90 minutes to complete, but I did not remember them telling me anything about needing to fast for PET Scan. I was using a driving service to take me to this appointment, and when we arrived at this hospital, we were several hours early. We decided to get something to eat while we were waiting. My driver is a friend of mine by now, because we've already taken so many trips together since we first met, around February of 2026, and she even double checked with me to see if I needed to be fasting for this PET Scan. I looked at my notes, and I couldn't find anything that indicated I needed to be fasting. In hindsight, I should have called the Imaging department at the hospital and asked them if I needed to fast, just to be certain that I didn't need to be fasting. We ended up going to a great local restaurant, and we had a delicious lunch. We ate our lunch quickly, and then headed back to AdventHealth hospital. Upon entering the hospital I headed to the right where I saw a desk area with staff working behind it. I was immediately greeted by two of the staff members behind the desk. I gave them my name, and I told them that I was here for a PET Scan. They checked their computer system, and then they directed me to a check in window, at the left hand side of the hospital lobby. After I arrived at the window, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman staff member, who checked me in, gave me a hospital wrist band, and then directed me over to the waiting area for the imaging department of the hospital, which was just ahead of his window. I had just enough time to snap some pictures of this breathtakingly beautiful AdventHealth hospital. Once I was finished, I sat down in a seat near a tall window with a view of a reflecting pool, and a nearby water fountain that was located outside of the building, near the outside seating area. Once I sat down, a few moments passed before staff member named Stephanie called my name. I walked over to her and greeted her. Right away Stephanie asked me if I was fasting, and I told her that I just had lunch. She said that unfortunately I need to be fasting for at least 4 hours before having a PET scan, and so she said that we could go to the back and she would help me reschedule my appointment. After we went to the back, Stephanie had me take a seat and she left momentarily to go make a list of potential days and times, so that we could reschedule my appointment. I called my driver to find a day and time that worked for her, and we were able to schedule a new appointment. Stephanie then escorted me out to the lobby of the gorgeous hospital. Stephanie was a very kind and understanding staff member, and she treated me so well. Despite not being able to get my PET Scan, I had a great experience, from the time that I walked into the hospital, to the point that I left the hospital.

Check-in Wed 6pm My…read moresister came from urgent care with lung edema (fluid in her lungs) turns out she has congestive heart failure. It's Sunday and she's been here without her HEART medicine and without a doctor that can care for her for days. this is the third incident where this facility seems understaffed and or the staff seems disengaged until they realize it's serious... originally I was going to complain about how uncomfortable the fold out bed was, how none of the chargers worked or went to phones from this decade, or how there was no microwave or fridge for me to store my food in, or how when we first got here there a a " respiratory risk" for my sister and the sign on her door said we should be wearing masks / gowns and yet I had to go find someone to get me a mask before entering and once I was inside there was my nephew visiting his mom, maskless... The communication has been absolute worst between staff and us. I had to OVERHEAR her dietary restrictions between changing crew, although ppl saw me bringing her food. and then I was told I couldn't heat the food I brought us in the microwave bc of said risk... but it wasn't serious enough to follow the mask protocol... and she was here for her HEART not her lungs... The cafeteria is the absolute worst I've ever seen and yeah, I wish I'd trusted my gut and driven her to winter park or ORMC. I have never had a good experience at this place. please don't bring your loved ones here if it's serious ****update Still no echocardiogram. And the hospital is under a code red. No communication on how soon we can expect one, how many more days she'll be here ... AND they forgot to feed her this morning. Again the diagnosis was congestive heart failure and her RESTING HEART RATE is 167-175!!!! I'm begging them, if you don't have the staff/ ability to treat her just say that so we can go elsewhere. I'm literally packing up to head to Winnie Palmer now fingers crossed they're able to see her as quickly as they were my partner who I also had to pull out of advent health SOUTH and head to Winnie Palmer where they promptly saw and treated her . Update 10:28 am Sunday Someone, idk who this time, walked in, didn't introduce themselves say why they were there or anything and just rolled a machine in an said Amanda our nurse who has been very helpful would be in shortly.... This is a review of the administration of the hospital and how they are severely understaffed and undertrained on bedside manner and at least a SENSE of perceived urgency. That last part is nonexistent
