However this does not mean there are huge distinctions between the mens and womens areas of the shop - there is actually quite an androgynous feel about the clothing on display, from the beanies to duffel coats, bar the odd Lonely Hearts dress or two. This makes for a nice range of casual, easy-to-wear street gear, perfect for days at uni but easily styled up with a pair of heels or some dress shoes. In terms of the service, I was helped today by a friendly girl who sympathised wonderfully with my proportion dilemma with pants and did a great job at trying to help me what I was looking for (unfortunately it was one of those cases where that 'in-between' size does not exist). I will certainly be back though, as Area 51 is a boutique filled with a great range of some of the best NZ and international brands.

So when I find a place which sells suits that fit me well I remember it. Working style being just one of those stores, most of their clothes have quite a slim cut, nice and fitted. But I kind of think that the level of customer service you receive should be congruent with how much money you are spending. So was not the case when I shopped at Working Style. When you agree on buying an expensive suit you should not have to put up with some guy who can't be bothered to take the time to properly measure how much to hem off your pants.

This used to be my go to alterations place but it went downhill in my opinion the last few times I…read morevisited and I have now found somewhere else. I find it very expensive, which if fine if you get the perfect end result as you are trusting them with your clothing, but sometimes I didn't get the perfect end result. The last item I got altered here was a pair of pants and they came back too short. This was gutting because they then had to let the hem out to make them a bit longer and they just didn't look right after, not too mention it meant I was without the pants for longer than initially expected. I'm sure the bad experiences I had here aren't regular occurrences as I have had some excellent alterations here, but the bad ones I did have were enough to cause me to look for somewhere else and to be honest I am glad I did as I love my new place.
