My preference.of Cascais' two hipermercados A huge selection with reasonable prices. I like the huge variety of yogurt available there - when you've gone down the long yogurt aisle, there still the sales on the ends. And if that's not enough - just to the side of the produce there's an organic food section with more yogurt. There's a good selection of wines, though the Continente in the Cascais Shopping Center has more variety. And and overwhelming selection of cheeses - most Portuguese (many from goat and sheep milk) but some from other parts of Europe. There's a few items in the meat section that would be unusual to North Americans, such as whole skinned rabbits, tongue and all, and small packages containing 10 tiny birds, frozen, the whole thing just weighing a couple hundred grams, for Euro 6.50 There's also a big selection of non-food items. One section is even a small music store, only about three meters wide, with electric guitars, strings, amps, picks - whatever you'd need to rock out, at least small-scale.... Plenty of computers and accessories, phones, etc., auto supplies, and on and on. There's another floor above this with some small shops, and a large parking area, both in front of the Jumbo and on the roof. There's toilets (free) on both floors, and a Multibanco Caixa automatico. read more

Best grocery store in heart of Cascais with a plethora of well priced provisions from groceries electronics patio furniture to well stocked liquor section. Large butcher and fresh seafood selection.Extensive selection organic, gluten free, dairy free alternatives as well as large selection of international foods( France, Italian, American, English, Mexican, variety Asian and Indian). Helpful friendly staff with many speaking some language aside from Portuguese.2 hours free parking. Apparently this Jumbo has one of the largest selections in Lisbon area. A bit pricier than other area grocery stores but worth it for one stop high quality shopping. It's inside a little mall with other smaller stories ranging from shoe store to several spas. They deliver and now you can shop online as well. Nice bonus of very tasty traditional Portuguese restaurant called Terrace Grill in top floor of this mall. Super cheap well seasoned garlic heavy ultra fresh seafood overlooking Cascais bay. So before or after you shop you can also fuel your stomach up. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE. I live out of the country and bought a computer with them right before i flew out of Portugal on a Jumbo credit card that i opened the day before i left. I organized an automated payment to come out of my account the following month. I was shocked when i wasn't billed. WHEN I HAD TO EMAIL THE COMPANY ABOUT IT. Their repeatative response was "There was a problem with on an you gave us it was over a month old..." IBAN numbers don't ever change.. the account is open. "The signatures didn't match." "Okay.. Well I'm letting you know I wasn't billed that should be proof that it actually me.. I LIVE OUT OF THE COUNTRY how can I PAY THIS ONLINE IMMEDIATELY?" " Come into any store." Wow. Meanwhile my credit is destroyed now. Can I take legal action against this company? read more
