I have always been athletic in one way or another but I never considered myself an athlete. I love…read moremountain biking and truly love riding for days at a time. I came across racelab by accident and this group changed my life. This is not an ordinary triathlon or endurance cycling club. This is a training organization that feels like family and treats you like family. From day 1, I was treated with respect and introduced to an amazing group of athletes that participate in everything from Chocolate Run 5k's to Ultra Endurance 100 Mile runs!! This team changed my life in such a profound way that I couldn't help but apply to join the race team :) **Bettina is one of the highest ranking coaches in Arizona and is one of only 2 coaches in the entire US who possesses both USAT's ITU Level II and Endurance Level II certifications!! Truly unique...** Racelab has over 38 group workouts a month... and that's not even counting the personalized training plan that she makes available. If you're in doubt or just want to check out the group to see for yourself then check out the calendar on the racelab website for the location of Tuesday night track nights at ASU. You won't regret it!!!

I met with Coach Bettina and shyly explained what I wanted to do and understanding maybe I couldn't do it. Bettina not only assured me I could, but it would be great! She was right! With her training and guidance and her never-ending encouragement and positive energy, I completed my first Half Ironman and Racelab is guiding me to my first Ironman this year. Coach Bettina has designed a training schedule that meets the needs of my busy life with a full-time job and another sport in which I compete. All the other athletes accepted me right away and made me feel comfortable and included. From training at ASU track, to racing in Rocky Point, Mexico, we always have fun while getting faster, stronger and better. This team and coaches all care about each other and Racelab really is my second family.

Our track workouts on Tuesday nights at the ASU Sun Angel stadium are a lot of fun and our chance to put the pedal to the metal!

In just our first season, my son's ball handling, driving to the basket and shooting have improved tremendously! We look forward to continue my son's love for basketball with Hoop Code! Couldn't think of a better league to help my son get to where he wants to be with the sport! Not to mention all the snazzy, cool Nike merchandise! I also wanted to mention that other league parents and coaches show signs of bad sportsmanship! Hoop Code should not be singled out! While with Hoop Code, we played vs another league where parents and coaches berate the kids on the court! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you tried Hoop Code and didn't like it, then so be it...it's YOUR opinion! In MY opinion, we love Hoop Code! We love the energy, The coaching Staff and the discipline! Try them out! Doesn't hurt! Some may say it's not for them but I feel that most will love it!

We had three different coaches in one season and lost badly each game. I mean by 60 points. They don't teach. Find somewhere better. All they care about is money.

We attended this years polo party and had a wonderful time! It was our first time seeing a polo…read morematch so we were looking things up as the match progressed. We saw the women's team beat the men's team (girl power!) and also watched some of the rugby match too. Luckily we scored some nicely shaded seats with great views of the polo match in the Barrett Jackson area. We even brought our breakfast dishes from the munch box food truck to eat there too. We walked around a bit to see and support the vendors and got some mocktails and even a b12 shot! As much fun as the polo party was, it is unfortunately located at Westworld... I can't tell if it's a Westworld issue, a Pro-em issue or all of the above. There were several events happening at several area of the site so it seemed like the line for parking was unnecessarily problematic. At least parking only cost $10 that day. When we finally parked and got to the area we thought was the entrance, there was long line of people getting drink bands for alcohol so we got in line. When we were finally at the front of the line, we found out we didn't need to stand in that line at all. The line was for those wanting to participate in the wine tasting in the arts festival area that was outside of the polo party. We didn't see signs for the wine tasting fees so we just walked to the polo party entrance. At the entrance we observed the "no alcohol beyond this point" signs. When we were leaving, they wouldn't let us leave with water or our mocktails so we had to consume or throw them away. We understood their explanations that they don't know what is or isn't an alcoholic beverage so they were restricting all beverages. The sign should be changed to reflect that policy correctly. Since we had a less than positive experience when exiting, we decided not to participate in the wine tasting. We just walked through to view the art festival displays before leaving. Otherwise, we had a nice time and are looking forward to attending the polo party again next year! We'll know what to possibly expect next time around so we'll be better prepared!
