This spot was absolutely lovely…read more Our hosts in Vienna wanted to show us a local vibe of how amazing Vienna is with a great market and cafe, and An-do did not disappoint us. The thing I love about European cafes is the availability of them. An-do is next to several others, and the seating is open and welcome for you to sit down. There's not host or hostess, and you seat yourself. It feels much more relaxed. On Saturdays there is a market in this square, which is great. After you're done eating you can get your shopping done. The patio area of An-do was well covered and shaded. Our server took our order, and I was looking for some protein. I ended up getting the chicken pide and the limonade drink. It is not the American equivalent of lemonade. It's much better. A lot less sugar, fresh fruit, and a little fizzy. I'm still thinking about it! I've tried to make my own but it's just not the same. The chicken pita was super good! Chicken was tender with a delicious sauce on it, arugula, and the bread was fresh. French fries were delicious. I want to come back for a limonade! :) An-do

They do great things with garnish here, making a simple ham and eggs special with extra veg items and herbs. They have wonderful coffee served in French-style bowls, too! I'm pretty demanding when it comes to coffee so it's saying a lot when I say it's wonderful. Of course the ambience at the Yppenplatz is perfect and Staud's and Brunnenmarkt are right next door! The service can be friendly, but I've also experienced unfriendly service here, so 1 star down for inconsistency on that front. I'll definitely be tasting my way through their menu in the future!

Fairly typical greek restaurant without the typical greek atmosphere…read more The menu is fairly large and wide ranging and fairly priced too. But the food is somehow lacking a bit in taste. Not enough tzaziki and few too few herbs and spices than what I am used to but overall ok to good. Drinks menu is also large and varied but would have liked to see a few more typically greek options. Service was friendly and bordering on what I would expect from a decent greek restaurant. We were all greeted an the door, waiters were charming and funny throughout and we were wished a "kalinichta." Also ouzo was offered with the bill which is always a plus. It was overall a very nice experience and meal but just lacking a little bit more to deserve 5 stars. "JAMAS"
