Especially when you look through the floor/net to see the floor of the cavern a long long way down. The only thing missing was some music to jump to. This is the only one of its kind in the world apparently so pretty special. It's a really hard workout too, even the regular exercisers needed a few sit downs! You keep getting up again though as it's so much fun! We kept falling over all the time as it's quite hard to keep your balance, I don't know how some people were playing rugby! Helmets and boiler suit were a good idea although it all got a bit sweaty. I went with a group of 10 and only 1 person didn't enjoy it, so pretty good odds. The person that didn't like it has a real fear of heights and didn't really enjoy the bouncing much either. I do have a bit of a fear of heights too and am also slightly claustrophobic but I definitely enjoyed it. I did struggle a bit with the netting slides but once done they're fine :) One of my friends did say though that some people were coming down the climbing up chutes as that's the only option apart from the slides to get back back down. A less daunting third option would be good please!

For £25 you get an hour's trampolining, bouncing from cavern to cavern, climbing up ladders and snaking down tubular slides from level to level. Make sure you have trainers on and some light clothing too, as you'll get so hot with all the bouncing about. Safety helmets (and attractive hairnets) are compulsory and the safety briefing is pretty comprehensive too. The age range in there is brilliant - grandparents bouncing alongside kids. If you want to make a day of it, there's plenty of other activities on site too - from Europe's tallest zip wire, to a quarry explorer 4x4 trip. Café on site too - predictably on the pricey side but clean and roomy. Definitely worth a visit!

I would strongly recommend this for age 7 - 10 though smaller ones are able to come along too, height restrictions do apply to certain parts of the adventure courses, so to avoid disappointed I would recommend you go onto their website and check first. This place is all about fun and fitness for the whole family. They have a massive high wire forest adventure course; which is set within the countryside and developed to encourage you to get moving, and trust me by the end you the adventure a good cuppa and sleep is what you'll need, though if it is for the family then keeping the kids active by getting them tired then Jungle Parc is the place to bring them. It is a very safe environment and with all the proper equipment it is very enjoyable. The X-plorer course is for anyone over 1.35m in height and the Adventurer course is for children from 4 years old and with minimum height of 1.05m. The Jungle Parc is situated in Croxteth Country Park which is only 10 minutes from the city centre.

The premises consists of two different courses: X-Plorer course and Adventurer course (for the little ones). There are 40 amazing activities to enjoy as you glide through trees on rope bridges, zip lines and cargo! It definitely sounds exciting as it really is. Adults are just £20 and Juniors £15. Well we're to begin, as I said I always used this family ran aquatics until they moved I then had the joy of dealing with dobbies and pets at home, which is ok if you like paying through the nose for dull fish and pretty rubbish advise I was thrilled when I saw the sign at the side of the road for a new aquarium and was pleasantly surprised when it was the guys from my old shop...ace so stocked up my tank with beautiful fish and yea I know everyone slates guppies but there my favourite and they have like 15 different types, loads of tetras and random stuff I don't even know of, their expanding the shop soon they say and I can't wait about another 50 odd tanks so the place will have tons of different varieties to choose from, don't be put off by my comments if you like unusual fish and hate guppies lol there loads of weird and wonderful stuff and really colourful cichlids, discus, arrowana, rasbora, Angels and their cold water fish are stunning big fat bubble head goldfish...amazing so I'm going to set up another big tank from them and have fancy goldfish, there so reasonable you have to visit and get something for your tank. Going to take my dad in for some koi carp as he says everywhere else for pond fish In liverpool is over prised and they never last, he's made up the guys from hillfoot aquaria are still going strong and looking forward to getting some big koi. The centre has been here for nearly 30 years and was greatly underused except for the many football parties I went to as a kid! Now the gyms are kitted out with state of the art gear, there are regular fitness classes for all levels in the sports hall, two decent sized astro-turfs can be found at the front - and if they are not being used by the local kids they seem to attract a lot of 5-a-side - and a good size pool with sauna and steam room. I can't really knock the place because it is well cheap and is obviously doing a very good job at placing itself at the heart of the Garston community, however, this also measn that the place can be very busy at peak times and it is often very hard to judge when it will not be full of kids! The pool always seems to have school groups or out of hours swimming clubs. While this commendable they also seem to find their way into the gym and will often hang around - or off - much of the equipment! But there is a waterslide!

The swimming area also consists of a viewers seating area, a slide, and a 'rapids' area. Swimming lessons are also available, as well as options such as 'ladies only' night. Waterworld also has a fully-equipped gym with changing rooms and showering facilities. The gym currently uses the TechnoGym products, and all are in great condition. The gym isn't huge, but caters for everybody, and all staff are helpful and friendly. There is also a studio where exercise classes take place. Classes are very varied, from yoga to dance, and all instructors are friendly and helpful. Something to suit all tastes. When not exercising, Waterworld also have a cafe just inside at the reception area. This is a great local facility, and if the changing rooms were a little more loved, updated, cleaner, and tidier, I would have no hesitation to give Waterworld 5 out of 5.

A mighty, verdant wonderland of precise landscape design, the park has everything- a lake, a cricket club, a cafe, tennis courts, an obelisk, a grotto, a dingly dell, a palm house, a nature reserve, an iron bridge, a swing park, a bowling green, fountains and a bandstand. Once upon a time, there was also an aviary, an open-air theatre and even a freaking pirate ship. Nowadays it plays host to the jangly joy of the Africa Oyé festival, as well as whatever circus has thundered into town from across the eastern horizon. Opened in 1872 by Prince Arthur (Queen Victoria's son) who dedicated it "for the health and enjoyment of the townspeople", the park received a vital face-lift in 2009. The lake was cleaned, sloppy grass banks were resculpted, signposts erected, statues polished and view-blocking trees were sliced down, somehow making the vast park seem even more open and welcoming. Oh yeah, I forgot ducks off that list before. It has ducks. Ooh and grass.

Out of the city and into the countryside, or so it would seem! Big open fields, winding tree-lined paths, a boating lake (not that I've ever seen a boat on there), greenery galore. The Palm House is beautiful and having seen it in the midst of a deep snowy winter and it's reflective crystal maze esque glory of summer, it's always amazing. Today, we were strolling around the lake and there wasn't just one swan or two, but a whole family with their little cute baby signets just catchin' the sun on the path and people were just sitting watching them, almost cooing in appreciation at them they were so gorgeous. The park has also opened up a little cafe that serves yum stuff like rum and raisin and mint choc chip (my fave!) icecreams, coffees teas and lollies etc from a little glass pod on the edge of the lake, the seating outside gives a great view of the park to enjoy your surroundings and relax! So pack a picnic or a barbie, throw down a tartan rug and soak up the sun in one of the most mesmerising parks in the world! (Well, in our lovely little Liverpool bubble anyway!)

I accidentally came across this review last week, whilst searching forprices for a forthcoming birthday party we intend to have at Happy Hours. I visit there fairly regularly, being a registered child minder with myown four year old son and three other children ranging from two to fouryears of age. I originally found it via netmums.com and have been attending for abouttwelve months now. I've seen the 'so-called' hoodies popping in and out to order toastedsandwiches. They are so intimidating that the have actually folded up andcarried in a twin push chair which I use for the two year old kids. They've done this on two occasions. They may be hoodies, but I don't feelthreatened by local youngsters who come, most likely, from normalfamilies. It's not a gangland uniform, after all, for the majority of bigkids and even some adults, it's just convenient weather-proof clothing,(MUCH NEEDED THIS SUMMER!!). I consider that it's most unfair to describe the place as dirty, or thetoys as grubby. It is obviously showing signs of usage. I understand ithas been operating for over ten years and its condition is still, in myview, quite satisfactory. Also, the fabric covers on some of the ride-ontoys are often soiled (No, not with that - just dribbles and generalcontact with kids clothing and dirty fingers). However I have noticedstaff removing covers and replacing them with others, which indicates thatthey are obviously laundered from time to time. I cannot understand the comments regarding the toilets because I amcertain (CHECKED YESTERDAY for my own satisfaction before leaving thisentry) there are two separate toilet areas for boys and girls (men andwomen). They are both accessed through a common entrance and both haveouter and inner doors and separate washing facilities. Furthermore, on novisit have I ever noticed a missing toilet seat. I did spot yesterdaythat a plug was missing from the sink in the boys hand basin. I mentionedthis to Sharon, who works there and she said she would get the boss to seeto it. The steps to the ball pool are a little steep, but not high, only aroundtwo feet or thereabouts, so with a little parental assistance the smallestof kids can cope with them. Even if they do take a tumble, it would be noworse than a minor fall at home, whilst clambering around. The only complementary comments regarding the food area and staff, I agreewith. However, it is noticeable that the reviewer's comments regardingcleanliness of the former seem to be rather begrudged, as if she wouldhave liked more time to have managed to find some fault with that. I'll be continuing to go to Happy Hours, but may easily have been put-offby this review. I'm glad I didn't see it first.
